Burgers get cooked in oils/butters and also invite you to use buns which are bad for you, cheese, and sauces that all add in calories. It's better to skip and eat white meat like chicken, which is easier to prepare plain and clean
Burgers should never be cooked this way... buy 90% ground beef, mix salt, pepper, garlic powder into the meat itself, and fry it up. Discard grease.

I like to make my own with ground beef, seasoning, and chopped onion, then grill them without oil (meat releases its own grease, it's enough), and serve them with a side of roasted veggies, no buns.

Obviously sandwiches need them, but using it for like dipping in sauces, etc. is just free fat fuck calories, so watch out. If it's european bread, yes, and if you count your calories, it's fine, the only problem is it's basically empty calories. Check packaging anyway to see if it's way too processed or not though, if you live near a bakery that sells sandwich bread, consider buying it there instead.
