You can do everything right, get have multiple cardio sessions a week, get antioxidant injections, get 8 hours sleep a night, and you'll still look like this within a few decades at best. Your life is a fleeting moment in time.

    No i wont.
I was selected for a experiment and my conciousness was transfered into a machine.
I no longer need to sleep,go to the toilet, lift to maintain my muscles etc. but honestly it doesnt matter how much time i save because im not aging anymore i dont have a time limit within which i need to optimize my time perfectly.
The only thing i miss about my old meat body is probably eating food.
I no longer have a sense of taste or smell.
    Oh and also masturbation.
    I cant masturbate either.

It’s a shame, but yes. People over 30, some even late twenties, just appear as exhausted beings.
If we are going to live over our mid 30s and 40s, the quality of that living must be made much better

And why are you so concerned about our "prime" as if you're some elite athlete? You spent those years indoors jacking off.

      Anonymous

"Prime" in what sense? Physically? That may be true, it may be even earlier as studies show that teens have the most power pound-for-power out of any age group. They're also very energetic, very malleable and adaptable both physically and mentally. Though if you're talking about elite athletes as the other anon said that's also subjective, boxers and MMA fighters tend to peak towards their late twenties and early thirties. It seems different sports have different peaks, oftentimes the players genetics play a role in that outcome.

Now, if you're talking about literally any other profession you have an even bigger issue as the respective peak of a scientist, businessman, or musician are even more subjective. "Peak" is in many ways a mindset, I would rather be an elderly Sir Christopher Lee than a mid-twenties gang banger.

This assumes you made 100% of all possible gains at that point. If you are not a competitive athlete, the decline comes later and slower.

Work in progress. I’ll say that merely clinging to bare life is not really a priority any more. This thing was located near a speech and motor control center. If it comes back with a vengeance, I’m not going to go the vegetable route.

I’ve also embraced alot of things about myself that I was in the fence with. Far less timid. Realized that basically, no one can tell you how to live, what to say, how to act and *guarantee* it’s the right way. Gotta fly by your own instruments, which I’m doing now. Also planning to go mountain climbing next year, which I’ve always wanted to do.

I think I thought I was a “hard core” questioner before but I realized it was just a roundabout way of trying to get an authority figure to tell me what to do *or* tell me to fuck off. Raised by a single mom, you know the drill. Now I really do not care what most other people thing because I see that they’re just other people, some wise and many stupid. Feels good to leave that leftoid “sticking it to the man” behind me.

My theory is that chemotherapy destroyed so many neurons that it forced my brain to make new ones, which made the old "depressed" pathways disappear and enabled the new "happier" ones to be created. This is completely made up, I have no scientific basis for this.

You can come to this realization without dying btw
But yeah, all this bullshit we worry about is gone the moment you die.
You're here for a brief period and then you're not here. If you're on your death bed tomorrow, would you be happy with what you've accomplished.
If you keep putting things off, then you're wasting your brief moments, leading to a bad death.

For better or worse, yes. I see religion as the ultimate search for someone or some thing to tell you how to live. If it feels authentic to you to be a Christian or a Muslim or whatever, go for it, but I think for the majority it’s just a way to hide from the shadow or those parts of themselves they’d rather not deal with. Think is, those parts, if you examine them and reconcile with them, are often the best parts of who you can be.
