    In other words:
    >men who are not dangerously obese have significantly lower risk of heart disease

I can only imagine the kind of people who needed this or found it "insightful".

I can tops out at 20, 15 on average, great triceps and chest exercise

I do push-ups every morning. I can do 200 now.

probably a better proxy value to gauge general fitness than being able to jog a short distance

I know this is often taken for granted to the point of being a meme, but this is the clearest example of correlation vs causation that some of you zoomers or actual retards would do good to remember.

    >doing 40 pushups makes you not get heart disease as much (causation)
    vs
    >people who exercise routinely are both more likely to be able to do a lot of pushups and have lower risk of heart disease, amongst all other exercise related benefits that weren't tested for (correlation)

If you actually looked at that headline and thought "that's neat" instead of "no shit", you are sub 60 IQ

There's not really a meaningful difference between someone who exercises regularly and someone who can do 40 push ups, definitely not when compared to the average person, you fucking retard

    >10 pushups

Even when I was an obese blob I could do 10 with no issue, how fucking weak do you have to be to not even manage that?

In the same study they also found that men who can do 40 pushups have a significantly higher risk of dying in a house fire.
    Statistics are funny.

40 push-ups is basically cardio. Of course men who can do 40 in one set are healthier since push-ups are easier if you're lighter weight and it also implies some level of cardio fitness

    Wtf?

    >we studied firefighters

    >low end of study is less than 10 push-ups

    This entire study is retarded.

    what a weird wording
what happens if you can do 25 under 60? where does the point of diminishing returns start?
