Got your attention? Good, because I've tried it a few times and can never find a good reason for working out.
Most common reasons for working out:
1. Insecurity. Well guess what? Everyone has insecurities. You're going to be insecure about things no matter the position you're in. I guess gym bros are the few that have become hyper focused about their body insecurities. Plus, it probably can possibly accelerate hair loss if you have the gene for it
2. Health. Okay, a legitimate reason here. But I'm 21, I'm overweight and fortunately never drink soda, I just need to cut off all the other garbage in my life. But I still feel healthy.
3. Relieving stress. I am not stressed or depressed.
4. Looking good. It's like the first reason but it's a shallow reason. You can fuck all the women you want but at the wnd of the day a wife is much more meaningful than a fuck doll. A genuine, loving relationship matters much more.
Am I missing anything? Why should anyone put so much effort and pain for some mostly illegitimate rewards?
I do it for the masochism
yeah it makes you not be a gay retard.
maybe you should start
I enjoy upgrading my character
OP here I forgot to mention that I am trans btw
>"I just can't stop sucking cocks! I love it so much!!! - OP
You know how truck suspensions designed for carrying heavy weight feel like shit to ride around with when the bed is empty? The human body's like that.
Because you are here, asking for why you should do it. That means you deep down know you should, but you cannot put it into words yourself.
Don't work out. See what happens.
Sounds like you've just listed a bunch of reasons in the hopes of finding validation in the fact that your a pathetic fat fucking peice of shit.
Good for you queen, be a land whale with 0 value. You do you.
Thanks for clearing that up OP
Guess I'll stop working out now
100% valid points, time to shut down the board.
>a wife is much more meaningful than a fuck doll. A genuine, loving relationship matters much more
I agree, but to get a wife you need to be attractive.
You mentioned you're fat, just lose weight and see how you look.
If you still don't like the tbhred result get a plastic surgery.
Gym is pointless.
OP here, just posting on a different device.
Yes, physical attraction matters but it may not matter as much as you think it does.I'll be honest I never had a girlfriend but I never made an effort to create a social circle into getting one either. As far as I understand, women's attraction of men is more complex than ours. Just don't be morbidly obese or anorexic and that should probably suffice. If you want proof to my claim, just look at Ethan Klein's relationship with his wife. He's fat but still has a loving relationship.
>Ethan Klein
he wasn't that bad when he was young, also they are gnomish, it's different for them.
>women's attraction of men is more complex
No, it's pretty simple. Wide jaw, square chin, straight and strong nose, low body fat and hunter eyes.
That's why most guys are virgins now: women were never attracted to them, but they had to put up with uggos back in the day. Not anymore, they have their own money and are free to be themselves, ie, chadsexuals.
Fair enough, he was thinner now that I look back at his old videos and photos.
As for the physical features, they do matter, but the degree on which they matter may depend on the woman you are looking for. If you're looking for a woman at a club, bar, or dating app, then those physical features matter much more. You also have to act like an asshole if you want to be more attractive. But chances are these are low quality women.
If you're looking for a long-term relationship with a high quality woman, they have to be met through social circles, to which I haven't had any for several years due to lack of interest in creating them. I would correlate that my lack of social circles made me having more weight as I grew older, since when I was a kid I had larger social circles, thus making me thinner due to more physical activity of playing with my friends.
post body
Idk. I have nothing better to do I guess
I do it for the runner's high.
Also have a nice day you undisciplined gay.
Yes being a transexual who sits on discord for 12 hours a day is much more productive
This thread is fucking gay and OP is a demoralizing gay
>Relieving stress. I am not stressed or depressed.
this is impossible. either that or youre a loser
If being content with my life makes me a loser then so be it. I'm not going to lie and say I wouldn't look better with a 6 pack, but it seems that the effort is not worth it if the rewards being is I get a few whores to be with that I know I will never marry.
This only proves my first point that people get depressed of being overweight due to hyper focusing on their body insecurities. The common reason why people work out is that they're bullied for being skinny or fat and let the bullies get the best of them. Which begs the question: are they working out because they legitimately care about their health, or is because they desperately need people's toxic approval in being socially validated?
I've learned to be content on being alone. It's not worth investing into people who will backstab and use you for their own self-interests. I don't trust people and I'm not going to believe the trash that often gets spewed out in this world. Being healthy is the only reason I believe why someone should work out, everything else is for shallow reasons and shouldn't be taken seriously. Fuck all the blackpill bullshit that if you're not an absolute stud then the whores will erase your genetic bloodline.
Now que the "haha coping loser" replies.
look at this fucking wall of text as OP is trying to defend himself. the truly joke writes itself.
Why do you work out?
To crush you like the worm you are
for her. also, please post body, im genuinely curious OP. if you're that enlightened and secure about your appearance, then surely you won't mind right?
No thanks I like to keep my privacy, I'll just stay my BMI is in the late 20s.
post body gay. but you won't.
you are just as insecure as the other 99% of males on this planet. for the love of god, we are trying to help you here. get your fat fucking ass to the gym and exercise.
>effort is not worth it
Cope. Lifting weights to grow muscle isnt even difficult
>whores to be with that I know I’ll never marry
You will never marry anyway because you use “contentment” and social isolation as an excuse to justify a garbage lifestyle. Casual seggs is fun, and not nearly as disruptive to the psyche as popular culture wants you to believe.
"wahh wahh I have no girlfriend and friends wahh"
"Casual sex good!!!!! I want to be the 20 percent American statistic of having STDS!!!!!"
You said it yourself retard, social circle is a requirement to have sex in the first place. So yeah I have friends
Pic related from a previous thread
Maintain your health
You'll prevent arthritis in your knees if you lift correctly and do your stretches.
Your body is constantly taking on damage
You need to be strong to combat that
I'm not insecure at all, I do all the exercise band and medicine ball shit and get weird looks from retard normies who only know how to use the cardio machine for 30 minutes and then the cable weights
you sound like a gay who thinks he knows it all but just from reading your post youre absolutely clueless. Ur a manchild
You're such a gay OP
Please have a nice day, a push-up thread died for this
I lift to throw discouragement shills like op off od roofs.
The man who loves walking will walk further than the man who loves the destination
1. Exercise is good for your brain to function right, even nerdy tech leads at google make a point to work out
2. You’ve never been healthy in your life and it shows. Cut the garbage food and run and lift a bit for a meaningful amount of time and you’ll see how “healthy” you really are now
3. Lifting weights up and down a few times isnt even that hard, you can do it first thing in the morning and go about the rest of your day as normal. not nearly as much effort as you make it out to be
4. Opportunities for a rewarding relationships are few and far in between. The option for casual sex just for looking good is a practical thing to have, as long as you dont use it as a crutch
Based
taking steroids or supplements such as creatine, whey, caffeine to work out are a waste of time and are worse for your health than if you didn't work out.
I feel better after working out. You are gay and should try sucking cock
Man isn't meant to be sedentary. Working out is the most practical way to circumvent that if you don't work a labor job.
You are a gay moron gay and I hope you die of a heart attack at 50.
sage
You're actually supposed to be working hard as a human. I'm not saying that you don't work hard at your job, but it's not the type of work you're body needs. When you workout you get the benefits of better hormones, stronger bones, more will power, strength, endurance and longevity.
But if you don't wanna then don't you fucking queer.
I mean I've always gone to work in extreme early times with lack of sleep, so I am at least disciplined in some areas.
Also, body builders are ugly as hell. I do respect the strong man approach.
>I've always gone to work in extreme early times with lack of sleep
congratulations, you do what 90% of the working population does as well.
Holy fucking cope. Everybody has gone to work sleep deprived before, not because they're disciplined but because they don't want to get in trouble with their boss. Nobody will punish you for not working out. You're only harming your future self.
I don't need my job dude, you don't know anything about my life. I could just become a NEET but it's shameful to leech on people which is why I keep my job.
>Also, body builders are ugly as hell. I do respect the strong man approach
Spoken like true fatass, fatass
If you had real discipline you'd go to bed early so you could get a good night's sleep.
man that 'got your attention?' freaked me out
it just made me deeply realize that we are self aware beings to the point of understanding the things to say that will get our peers attention, and then after doing that we call it out. its so fucking weird. how the fuck can humans do such a complex thing (it may seem simple but compared to any other species on this planet its not) yet other animals are just like piss eat fuck sleep?
crazy. humans are wild
t. crab in dyel bucket
>But I still feel healthy.
Why does feeling healthy mean you healthy? That's the same bullshit smokers say- "blah blah blah, I smoke a pack a day, feel as healthy as a horse, blah blah blah"
Very rarely have I visited the doctor. The only times I've been was because I was being a dumb little hypochondriac after reading some stuff on the internet, to which I was completely fine.
>4. Looking good. It's like the first reason but it's a shallow reason.
Literally 95% of what people do besides stare at the television and play vidya is to look successful and sexy and bang
I do it out of pure contempt for fat fucks and weak-willed, lazy people.
5. Hard bonner. Okay, related to health but I have a bonner every morning and it's crazy hard
6. Better sleep. I don't work and sleep every day
7. Better energy. I drink maybe one coffee every day and have all the energy I need especially with NoFap
K am I missing anything now? Think my point is pretty well proven
All health reasons so they are legitimate reasons to work out.
Most of us work out for self care rather than insecurity, i.e.
>"I like myself a lot so I'll time to ensure that I am as physically capable and attractive as I can be"
you don't level up a character in a video game out of insecurity, you do so because the game becomes more fun the more developed your character is. Not to say that working out is the only aspect of the "game", but being fit and healthy has a lot of physical, mental and social rewards just on its own
Bitch bros like this create the true hard times that are coming soon, and ironically are the first to be crushed by the adversity they’ve fostered.
>2. Health. Okay, a legitimate reason here. But I'm 21, I'm overweight and fortunately never drink soda, I just need to cut off all the other garbage in my life. But I still feel healthy.
Firstly, you arent. Secondly, how you fill will change once you hit your late twenties and your bad habits catch up with you and it will catch up with you.
Sometime in your thirties, or even twenties if your lifestyle is abhorrent, your testosterone will start declining and you will suffer from sacropenia EXCEPT if you do regular strength training in which case the above is retarded, held at bay or reverses until your 70s results.
This is phenomena is known as rhe compression of morbidity which means rather than a longns slow decline to death it becomes compressed sometimes to a few days.
This is the most depressing reply I've seen today but you're absolutely right. I remember my life over a decade ago yet the time went so fast in a blink of an eye. It's a bit surreal that I'm going to feel age related changes in the same time span ahead.
Your post is the only one that actually moved me. I don't plan to die young, so when my future body gets shittier then I may as well get a head start now to reduce the pains of aging. Ever since I was turning 20 I've constantly been thinking about how I'm only getting older and that my previous youth is gone forever.
Looks like I need to stop being a wuss and accept that I'm an old man. It was fun while it lasted, I'm going to muster up the courage to get some gym clothes and finally start moving. Thank you reminding me of the inevitable fate that lies ahead.
you will die young OP.
Heres the thing anon, the compression of morbidity results in a much higher quality of life. Plenty of testamonials of elderly who say they are stronger, and feel better now than when they were younger. Thats the beauty of strength training, not only can it be down late in life, but the longer you do it the more the benefits compound and clinical data shows a decline of morbidity across the board for regular strength trainers.
Now myself. I am entering my late 30s, and i was a collegiate level athelete, so i have to deal with all the nagging injuries that result from high level athletics. I can say this going drom fit to slovenly and back that those aches and pains were much much worse when i wasnt lifting. Getting your squating your squat above 300 does wonders for back with nagging injuries as you are far less likely to trigger an episode from daily activities whereas before sleeping on it wrong wojud lay me out.
There are a ton of other benefits, greater flexibility, better mode, better libido, stress management etc.
Honestly fuck all the other reason people post. Pussy, vanity or whatever, those are temporary, but lifting to be strong and healthy thats life long.
1. Saying you’re confident and don’t have insecurities is a lie and you’ll get blown the fuck out when you get relentlessly mogged irl which will happen if you’re at all social or trying to network
2. Yes, stop being fat. It doesn’t matter what you “feel” like as a fatty, you WILL feel BETTER if you get your health in check.
3. You are full of stress if you grew up in the developed west and probably anywhere else too. Chemicals micro plastics social engineering etc. this is probably just a lack of self awareness.
4. Much easier to find an attractive loyal wife if you are also attractive and disciplined
That reminds me, discipline and routine is probably the most important thing you’re missing.
Thats real interesting anon.
Too bad im just not gonna srop
OP maybe you should have a nice day.
Forgot to mention, one other legitimate reason of working out is if you're an athlete competing in sports. I'm done posting for today, good luck everyone.
Excersise just has too many benefits to write it off completely. It's a marathon not a race though.
Strength
cope fatty
OP is very obviously autistic (like, medically, not just the meme IST kind). Why are so many of you getting heated over what an actual autist thinks lol
Thats like getting mad at a vegetable
Why do garden gnomes want us to be unhealthy so badly, Rabbi?
Its fun, I'm prouder of myself and I love what I see in the mirror
Call me narcissistic or shallow but I believe life sucks hard if you don't like yourself or the way you look
OP you sound like a coping lazy fatty no offense
I only work out to increase my power
>Why should anyone put so much effort and pain for some mostly illegitimate rewards?
That's the thing: Everyone makes it sound like you need to spend hours upon hours in the gym and torture yourself to make it worth your while. You don't. You can reap a lot of health benefits by just going for a jog for 15 minutes every day. You can get newbie gains from just doing one set of push ups to failure every other day. If you just want to stay healthy, you don't have to work that hard for it.
Repetetive rythmic movements make my brain calm. Only other sport that can compete with the gym is rowing or kajaking. There are so many sports. Why don't gym haters just pick another activity?
You're 21 now but eventually workplace stress and being overweight will catch up to you.
I hated sports as a teen and had bad back problems back then. Most activities involved too much coordination my sperg brain couldn't handle. The adults in my life always warned me, that this can have serious implications of being able to work later in life. It's good I found something in my 20s. Whether you're doing manual labor or a desk job, you will see improvements.
