Why the fuck would anyone train for ''strength'' is beyond me. You're basically asking to fuck your shit up, like your joints and potentially having serious injuries from lifting retarded amounts of weight.

I fell for that meme when I did SL on and off during college. Wasn't until I switched to doing a split routine with ramp-up sets is when I made progress.
Why is mental weakness so rife on this board now?
Lifting weights doesn't require mental toughness, lifting weights is a privilege, lifting weights does not make you unique, it does not make you a hard worker, it does not mean you have work ethic, it doesn't make anything.
The most dedicated lifters are the laziest cunts in every other facet of life, probably due to be exhausted from the gym to be bothered to do anything else
Cope harder, you weak bitch.
this. Honestly lifting weights is not something impressive. It's very easy to do. The question becomes why do it? if you want longevity cardio and calisthenics is the best way. If you want gains why do you want gains beyond what calisthenics give? you wont look better because you have bigger muscles. Look at Derek. It depends more on your overall health. A healthy body is a good looking body. Or you can be that ugly mfer with huge muscles who is low energy and looks repulsive
Post body
Exactly
You are a mentally weak pussy
Enjoy being mediocre at absolutely everything
Jesus, another SwoleShacktard screeching like an autistic cunt.
>when I made progress.
in what? strength or muscle mass? because they're correlated
I want to stop being pathetically weak. 1/2/3/4 might be easy for huge fatties but for me it's gonna take a lot more strength training yet.
Muscle mass. I do mostly isolation exercises and Hammer Strength machines.
>Lift heavy for minimal reps
>Fuck your joints up
>Do calisthenics for hundreds of reps
>Also fuck your joints up
If you exercise seriously for an extended period of time, you're going to fuck yourself up
Whatever you say, Boogie
Ask me how i know u cant bench more than 2 plates
What are you coping with that you look down so hard at lmao 2pl8? Tren won't bring your hair back brother
2 plates is a benchmark, and you don't have the mental toughness to accomplish even that let alone 3
Calisthenics doesn't fuck your joints up at all, retard. I've never heard of anyone fucking their joints with bodyweight unless they just straight up fucked up a movement and twisted something.
Yep i've seen many videos of ripped old people doing calisthenics but never any old powerlifters
Powerlifters rarely live past mid-40s.
Quads of truth
>I just made this up, so hopefully some idiot will believe my bullshit!
Again, die in a fire, homosexual.
Maybe it’ll happen if you’re training WRONG
Ah another retarded troll thread attempting to demoralize. YAWN
It can really fuck up your tendons too if you lift the heaviest you can. My elbows hurt bad now and I'm not sure how to fix this because rest does nothing. Massage hurts and doesn't seem to work. Eccentric exercise seems to be an option, but is really annoying to do one arm at a time.
When I got to a 3 plate deadlift I already felt unsafe doing it, or going further...i kept going until I hit like 3.5 plates for 5 reps, but yeah it just always felt unsafe to me.
Now-days 10 years later of 10 years in the gym, I just do RDL's with 2 plates for high reps set (20+) and thats it.
Could probably conventional deadlift 4 plates for a few reps, but why even bother? No point
>3 plates
>unsafe
King of dyeldom. Stop being a homosexual
>Why would you want to be strong, goy, it's totally cool to be weak and miserable, p-please don't be interested in creating your best self, just give up like I did!
I hope you die in a fire tonight, OP, you fucking suck.
Your joints will get fucked up anyway, unless you sustain a serious injury you're joints will be in better shape after strength training. Of course if you start strength training for health/fitness reasons then it's hard to resist the temptation to go for massive hypertrophy and huge numbers quickly which is where your problems will start.
You don't have to lift retarded amounts of weight just to be strong though OP. Stop coping.
