Why are you obsessed with height? You're obsession with it hurts you more than your actual height does. Get help.

It's not specifically height, this is just an example. Limb length, natural weight, muscle density, frame and build, and speed of muscle growth are all genetic to a degree and all affect lifting.

i think all this heightfagging shit is a psyop to turn men into women subconsciously

I'm not even specifically talking about height here, limb length, clavicle length, and ribcage thickness are way more important for strength and muscle

Height is crucial though. Being below 5'10" is basically a deformity

In terms of lifting? No, too short = not enough space for muscles and too tall = limbs too long and too much torque.

For women? To most women 5'10" is still a manlet

Fuck what women think. 5'10"-5'11" is peak for body building

What about fitness? Desire for quick gains? Winning or losing competitions? Gymnastics versus basketball?

There are a lot of different reasons different genetics can help or hurt you, depending on your desires.
    Being fat doesn't.

        > and people have mogged me.
        So?

Why do people on this board seem to have such a hard time internalizing life lessons that even little kids can instinctually understand? You've never heard the saying "you win some, you lose some" before?

          Anonymous

Why can't you read? This is a thread about the importance of genetics in lifting. I'm saying that I've surpassed people in less time, and people have surpassed me in less time. What you're saying proves my point. Or are you just trying to be a contrarian?

            >I'm saying that I've surpassed people in less time, and people have surpassed me in less time
So...you win some you some in other words?
Why are you seemingly disagreeing with me and then just repeating my words back to me?

I'm not disagreeing with you idiot, I don't know why you're bringing this fucking saying up because it doesn't even contradict what I've been saying. Also

It's not. It's widely accepted, especially with regard to professional athletes

Really? I have gymcopers attack me when I say that muscle and strength are very genetically determined and people grow different and have different max potentials.

It's true but most people that say it don't deserve to say it. It is like a looksmaxx blackpill guy who says looks are everything and it is over for him yet has never been below 20% bodyfat

          Anonymous

I suppose but I don't see many people acknowledge it at all, even the skinny twigs who finally benched 225 after 6 years of consistent lifting say "just gotta be consistent bro don't blame genetics!!!!"

  13. 3 weeks ago
    Anonymous

It isn't. Bodybuilders openly are judged on their genetics all the time. They even have GDE divisions like the one in this picture (212, manlet division), wheelchair or men's physique.
