No thanks
Read this is prison. He presents a great argument for bands, (& SwoleShack style nutrition) and backs everything up with actual studies, not just glance-at-the-abstract msm type shit.
I still prefer free weights, but am working bands in. Feels better than cables.
fugg
epic troll
This man is a charlatan
HAHAHAHAHA what the fuck 240 reviews
Why would I go to prison just to read that?
for the grind
>>Won't kill you and only leaves your skin red or maybe a bruise mark if it snaps
nagger when they snap and hit your face you literally go blind. look up what happened to the liver king homosexual. he lost a fucking eye.
I'm not going to take roids so I think I'll be fine
>bands won't ever snap, because you're not touching roids
retards
>look up what happened to the liver king homosexual. he lost a fucking eye
what? you are trolling me, right?
you aren't. what the actual fuck, he supposedly suffered brain injury from it too. never touching elastic bands even my life depended on it
Just put on goggles
>Even rubber bands hate the liver queen
>Pottery
Face pulls were also a retarded exercise. Never do them.
This is such a meme except for doing lateral raises or something. Just do calisthenics like everyone else.
I believe you really could build a respectable physique using bands to mimic all the basic lifts; but literally no one has done so for long enough to find out because they're too scared it won't work. (myself included)
Because at this point I'm too dedicated to trying to make isometrics work. But if I had to switch, I would probably switch to bands rather than weights because they just make so much more sense.
They feel fucking terrible.
I use these for my glutes.
Resistance bands are shit because they don't match the strength curve of the muscles. Barbell exercises like BP and Squat already don't match it, but this is even worse. Why should the exercise be the hardest around full contraction why your muscle is weakest? It's just retarded. There's a reason the Nautilus cams were later redesigned to reduce the resistance in the machine at that point so that you can lift effectively with a controlled motion. The best way to apply resistance for a machine or exercise is to be the least where the muscle is weakest, to increase as the movement moves away from that parts, peak where the muscle is strongest, and then decrease with the muscle's following decreases in strength.

Which is exactly what elastics do.
Are you retarded.
Take a bench press position, for example. The weakest part of the lift is when the barbell is closest to your chest, and the more you push forward, the easier the lift becomes, yet the weight remains constant. For this same reason, it's easier to hold up a weight far away from your chest than close to it.
Now imagine if you have an elastic around you instead of a barbell. The elastic offers progressively more resistance as you push forward. It offers more resistance in the position where your push is stronger.

The bench press has constant resistance yes. However, you have much more LEVERAGE at the top of that particular motion and the weakness developing in the muscles is compensated for by that leverage.
>Now imagine if you have an elastic around you instead of a barbell. The elastic offers progressively more resistance as you push forward
You're just asking joint injuries at that point.
Yes
Bands also miss out on stretch mediated hypertrophy, they offer weakest resistance in the most useful part of the movement.
>inb4 fuck science, stretch doesn't matter
That's why going beyond failure/forced reps and partials are effective.
This is why

Duly noted. There are likely easy safety mechanisms to prevent this. I never considered this w my set up at home w a large eye bolt screwed into the ceiling.
Bands have tons of utility and there are anchors which are not going to break away and kill you if you get hit. Didn't liver king also have this happen recently?
Yea he had it tied around a door knob lmao, talk about an anchor point
>NASA Approved
Well good thing I have regular earth gravity in my gym and can just use weights.
AAAAHAHA
Imagine not using bands. This is me at work. I'm hitting some great shoulder work in between sets of emails and tickets.
How can you even concentrate when it's always on your mind that it could snap at any moment?
>NASA Approved
NASA originally approved a giant hydraulic machine that cost a ton (a) for the product (b) for space in the shuttle (c) for fuel to get all that weight off the ground
They're retarded
I have never gotten a better pump than with bands, and I feel like I fucking did double the weights soreness wise. Never going back.
It's all fun and games until it snaps and it hits your eye and you get permanent blindness
Why not just grab something like a car and lift for resistance?
This
Just lift a car
Yea but they have no resistance once you lift them off the ground
>astronauts not using reverse thrust to train at 100x the earth's gravity.
Fucking pathetic
