If 100 grams of pasta have 350 calories then 200 calories in raw pasta alone would be 57 grams without any oil, meat, sauce or vegetables. Assuming at least 50 calories would go to aforementioned ingredients leaves us with 150 calories which translate to 42 grams. Go and cook 42 grams and tell me you would call that a reasonable portion of pasta lmao. And that is a modest estimate.
> pasta's calorie density is 3.5 times larger than chicken breasts, holy shit fucking have a nice day you cuck
Cooked or uncooked? When you cook pasta you add water to the weight.
> Irrelevant, you're going to EAT it cooked, aren't you?
I’m wondering why you think chicken is less dense than cooked pasta.
100 grams of chicken breast is 160
Calories and 100 grams of cooked pasta is 131 calories.

You know what anon? You just B me TFO, I don't have an argument against that.
I got regular pasta instead of whole wheat pasta bc the supermarket didn't have any left, is there any nutritional difference? I heard regular pasta is worse for you
Someone tell me what is wrong with pasta really? I’m hearing it for the first time in my life. Is this just the general carb hate? I’ve been doing some delicious carbonaras, ammatriciana, putanesca, pesto pasta and others for years. Do you people really just eat chicken breast with broccoli?
based. Only fat retarded mutts use "servings" to count basic CICO
I do not know if this is a troll thread or what but
100g of pasta (RAW) is 350-360 kcal,so if you cook it, you get 350 kcals for cooked pasta, now add 100g of chicken breast (raw 100g is 165kcals, usually less), so if you cook those 100g of RAW chicken you get 165kcals of cooked chicken. That's how math works.
so add 350 + 165 gets youover 500 kcals of pasta and chicken. Now add a bit of sauce and whatever and you get at least 600kcals of food.
You guys are all retarded here conflating raw food and cooked food. 100g of RAW chicken breast gives you less than 80g of cooked chicken but they both have 165kcals.
100g of RAW past gives you about 220g of cooked pasta but it still has 350 kcals (ignoring calory loss of course).
Don't be retarded, either count everything in raw or cooked but do not take cooked and try to convert it into RAW.

do not take nutritional advice from the absolute retards on this site. there is nothing wrong with pasta. simply put, your diet should be balanced in all aspects and as varied as you can tolerate
Why would I eat anything else when pasta is so delicious

no one eats one 200kcal serving of pasta lmao
In Italy they eat reasonable portions of pasta. They really do just eat a modest plate and stop. I've seen it with my own eyes.

Do Americans really?
Yeah we eat 250kcal here. It's called prosperity, europoors wouldn't get it

Plus you throw on sauce and it's ridiculous.
Any food can be reduced to an arbitrary portion of a size such that it's modest calories, how is that an argument?
>Durrr look here's a 100 calorie pack of Oreos guys!!! Why do you hate????
True, but 600-800kcal can be very filling for pasta, if I have that in the afternoon it's easily OMAD for me.
you could eat literally anything with the same volume but less calories
What kind of ~~*plan*~~ is this? Is it for anorexics?
>Pasta has too many calories!
>Eating pasta is for anorexics!
You people will never be happy

They’re Amerifats who think all pasta is the fatbomb you find at your local Olive Garden
>Vegan schizo is a Euroshitter

It's like rice or oats but with no micronutrients and gluten
Other than that, nothing wrong with it
Is the food white? Then it's poison.
Sugar, bread, pasta, rice, potatoes...avoid it all.
Is it white?
Then it ain't right.
Uh, should I avoid milk, eggs and white meat too?
Yes, only babies drink milk and eggs will destroy your arteries.
Begone, coomer.
what about smen

based retard. How to tell you are a mutt without telling you are mutt.
If you want CICO you count in 100g increments, not retarded "servings" which have nothing to do with reality of how people eat or drink stuff.
>retards ITT dont know youre supposed to measure food raw when counting calories
that's 3 servings right there
