where do i buy heavy adjustable dumbbells?

where do i buy heavy adjustable dumbbells? i'm looking for a set that exceeds 180 kg / 405 lbs (90 kg / 203 lbs per dumbbell) as a replacement for barbbells for lifts at home with the goal of doing 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 but for beta dumbbell lifts.

are there even 200 kg / 440 lb (100 kg / 220 lb per dumbbell) adjustable dumbbells out there? or is lifting basically only possible with barbells at a well equiped gym/home gym (to avoid barbell guillotines)?

>ALTERNATIVELY:
what level of volume would you need to perform 1 / 2 / 3 /4 with less weight (e.g. with a 100 kg / 220 lb dumbbell set (50kg / 110 lb per dumbbell). if 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 is your 1RM then i dont think doing 1 / 1 / 1 / 1 for 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 reps is the same thing, but i dont know what would be.

how much mileage could i get out of a 100 kg / 220 lb dumbbell set? it might be more reasonable and i could at least aim of a 1 pl8 OHP 1RM. i dont even know if there are 50 kg / 110 lb per dumbbell adjustable sets out there but it might be more likely to be a thing that exists

rack and safeties are for pussies, just drop the fkn thing and do floor press, protect your shoulders that way too.

I have a 9ft high 'acrobatics' bar that can be also used as a rack and 400lbs of weights with a 1" barbell and 2" dumbells. Everything cost about $600 and fits in a 4x4 area.

Get Olympic dumbbells, then if you get more space you can upgrade easy and don’t need to rebuy as much shit.

Ok then get something someone else suggested. But Olympic dumbbells will be the only adjustable dumbbell that you can put significant weight on.

You can put all the weight that you can fit on a 2" (olympic) or even a 1" spinlock with no worries. The limitations will be that they can't sit flat on your legs like fixed dumbells and that they'll have a lot more diameter.

olympic dumbbells are just longer then? thats still necessary to put more weight on them isnt it

Olympic plates have a 2" diameter hole. Old school plates are 1" and you use those with spinlock bars. They're as long as however long they are and yes that matters if you want to put more plates on.

i dont understand any of this

He's talking about the width of the plates. It's expensive but steel plates are how you go stupid heavy.

          >max load 100 kg / 220 lb per bar
nice. allows 1 / 2 / 3 / 4. apparently olympic weights are $1 per lb, so getting 220 lb of weight for $220 is more affordable than spending $500 a year on a gym membership

Just get thin steel plates. These are half-inch plates, easily fit 10 a side for 200lb + 10lb for the handle. There are three-eighth inch plates as well. That's 13 plates instead of 10, 260lb + handle!

    https://store.kabukistrength.net/products/kroc-loadable-dumbbell

With a good collar, should still have 8.5" of sleeve per side to load plates. 17 pairs of 1/2" thick 10s, 340 lb!
    Or 22 pairs of 3/8" thick 10s. 440 lb!
    Weight of handle unknown.
