Okinawans eat pork or fish with every meal and their diet has nothing to do with that food pyramid, I personally have no idea what that poster is talking about.
When the food pyramid was created, people were actually doing manual labor and didn’t just sit at a desk all day. These people needed carbs.
Also lots of fiber in grains.
>Amid high food prices in 1972, Sweden's National Board of Health and Welfare developed the idea of "basic foods" that were both cheap and nutritious, and "supplemental foods" that added nutrition missing from the basic foods. Anna-Britt Agnsäter, chief of the "test kitchen" for Kooperativa Förbundet (a cooperative Swedish retail chain), held a lecture the next year on how to illustrate these food groups. Attendee Fjalar Clemes suggested a triangle displaying basic foods at the base. Agnsäter developed the idea into the first food pyramid, which was introduced to the public in 1974 in KF's Vi magazine.
It was entirely a cost thing. The "slave food" meme is real.
>vegetables >a source of food found sparingly throughout the year >that high of a priority
i can tell whoever made this works for a gnomish person.
We evolved to eat meat all year around, grains next, and vegetables below grains.
He's saying it's not good nutrition to eat lots of vegetables because he thinks cave men didn't have that much access to them. Only a ketolard would make that kind of argument. And then he blames the garden gnomes for... telling people to eat vegetables.
>keto = anti-vegetable >keto = pro-grain
You legitimately have mental dysfunction. I take no pleasure in saying that, and I hope you find help and peace.
Why can't I just look up a ready made muscle-building diet. All I get are vague guides but there are too many options. My brain is needed for other things, tell me what to eat.
try vertical diet
otherwise
know your maintenance calories, +500 cals for bulk, -500 for cut
ideally get 1g protein per lb of body mass
rest of calories equal between carbs / fat
or just eat eggs + oats and milk in the morning, chicken & rice rest of day, protein-rich dairy in the evening
oh wow wait. so i guess you're not a carnivore or ketard. then again, you make up a strawman of some hipster, so i guess not vegan either? enlighten me, what's "healthy fat" then?
When you do a little more than babby's first attempt at research, you'll find out why Kerrygold is a bad brand and why spinach and almonds are useless foods.
>what's "healthy fat" then?
I have to warn you, friend, you are engaging in a conversation with a person who is legitimately mentally ill. We think he's a vegan transvestite. Be warned all ye who reply past this point.
>subsidize soi, wheat, and corn >war ends >"how the fuck we gonna sell all this lmao?" >fake studies to push grain-heavy diet >teach it in schools for 50 years
They were just looking to make money, public health be damned.
Eat like an Okinawan
Go on...
Okinawans eat pork or fish with every meal and their diet has nothing to do with that food pyramid, I personally have no idea what that poster is talking about.
mainland japs eat nothing like okinawans but are pretty healthy all the same
>Eat the Okinawan
Oh, how I wish, /a/non. How I wish.
>kellogs makes food triangle
>pyramid says that you need to eat a fuckton of cereals
how convenient
This
Corporations are in the pockets of the government.
other way around
Cool it with the antisemitism bro
Ketotards in shambles
Virtually all first world countries have the same advice to this day.
"Damn, how can we reverse engineer our massive dairy and corn subsidies back into the economy... eureka!"
The meat and dairy industries are also massively subsidized.
but they are less profitable
>pyramid
Illuminati.
>nothing about calories
Into the trash it goes.

Not even true
wasnt the food pyramid made in the 70s? office jobs were a thing by then
The American one was invented in 1992
Euro countries had the first ones in the 70s and 80s
Maybe but they didnt have computers so they had to be on their feet more for even the office jobs
Why was the pyramid even needed in the first place? Nobody asked for it.

The food lobbies didn't pay they to think.

>moronic ketolard is also a racist
Every time
>recommended eating grains
>keto
The anti-keto posting on this board is legitimately schizophrenic.
He's saying it's not good nutrition to eat lots of vegetables because he thinks cave men didn't have that much access to them. Only a ketolard would make that kind of argument. And then he blames the garden gnomes for... telling people to eat vegetables.

You have no idea what you're even arguing.
Yeah, it's vegans. They are literally mentally ill due to their diet.
Supporting us agriculture.

That's pretty close to what I already eat except I eat quinoa instead of rice. Is that good or bad?
about same. just be sure to calculate you maintenance calorie intake and eat accordingly (eg at https://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html )

Fat this isn't trans or saturated.
>muh saturated fats bad
The only trans thing here is you gay
