If you're going for taste, I don't know why anyone would use anything other than whole milk. In terms of which is "better" for you it's debatable. Obviously 2% milk has less fat than whole milk, but since some of the fat is removed there's a higher concentration of lactose (milk sugar) so you're actually ingesting more carbohydrates per volume. I think it's kind of a wash to debate whether whole milk or 2% is significantly better or worse for you, but I think whole milk wins out for a lot of reasons.
