Yeah, pretty much. I only started looking for internships last year in uni and that was too late. Could not land any CS related, so I took internship as banker and later second one in marketing. I did have side projects, personal website with portfolio, good academic performance, but I could not get pass interview. Then I was like fuck the corp, I started doordashing, at the start of the pandemic pay was nice and not as many people delivered on ebike, so I was easily making above junior corporate job. But this created gap in my resume that fucked me even more. The pay for delivering had been decreasing, so I should try to get back into programming at least as some trainee position, but for now

I don’t want to make too many assumptions but if you’re satisfied with the life you described and your approach is simply “I sent out CVs and cover letters and I’m all out of ideas” then you seriously lack ambition and motivation. The chances of some random good job falling in your lap is slim especially as time goes by.
