Healthy food tastes "bland" to you because you're used to these way too strong hyperstimulatory flavours all the time. It'll fade quickly once you stop eating that garbage. It's like porn vs real sex with wife.

I fully accept that this is most likely the case. Anyone have any experience with how long this takes. I am willing and honestly wanting to change my eating habits forever I just don’t want to be miserable

            >I can’t stop cause when I’m hungry nothing sounds better
Of course you can. You literally just stop.

Plan your meals ahead of time. I'm not talking meal prep, just decide what you're going to eat and at what time, make sure you have everything ready to go and stick to it. Before the day starts, know exactly what you're going to eat and when, and do the same for the next day. Eat meals at the same time every day. If you know you always get hungry and crave junk food at 7pm, plan a proper meal at 6pm. Schedule and routine are such powerful weapons for conquering anything in literally any aspect of life, food is no different.

Also give your body at least 12 hours, ideally up to 16, where you only drink water so it can have a break from digesting. If weight loss is your goal this will tank your insulin resistance and make more difference than you can imagine. It also goes hand in hand with scheduled meal times.
A simple start is don't consume anything but water two hours before bed and two hours after waking and you've got your 12 hours, while also getting the benefits of reducing overnight digestion and interference with waking up properly.

        it took a month

Nah this is just complete bullshit and shows you definitely eat junk food.
Bland food is bland. If you only eat bland food it'll still be bland.
That's why you have to learn how to actually cook food that's not bland.

Weak Doucette mindset. Eat real food. Meat, potatoes, cheese, eggs, pasta. And sure, veg too, some fruit. But never eat for flavor.

        Do what this anon says
You can hack your brain into enjoying the "Bland" food more by adding salt with iodine, its what fast food uses and the only healthy thing in it.

How do I stop my chocolate cravings? I didn’t have a weight problem before I started working out, so cutting out junk food and sugary beverages was easy, but I have a serious weakness to chocolate that makes it hard to resist.

I switched to using chocolate protein shakes and chocolate protein bars, but I’m not sure if that’ll help or make things worse.

Of course that will make it harder. I had sweet shit craves until I learned that sugar that does not come from fruits/honey is basically poison, after a period of not eating that stuff eventually the cravings went away and now I HATE sugary shit

      Easy man.

DO: eat chocolate, not every day and don't fell guilty about it:
      Best: plain chocolate bars

DON'T: stuff your fucking face multiple times every day

Yeah, okay, I usually go for the more pricey dark and milk chocolate stuff, sometimes the ones with nuts and sometimes plain, not the usual candy bars.

Beans, chickpeas, peanuts, roasted potatoes, beef, chicken. My personal favourites are shrimp, lobster, calamari, octopus. Add some veggies to the side, don't boil them, steam them so they aren't mushy and gross, or have a salad on the side with your food. Some rice for the carbs. Mushrooms taste great, very low in calories, a lot of micronutrients in them. Any of this can be made healthily, just don't add a tub of mayo or some other sauce on the side.
People who need to dip their lobster in butter-sauces really have fried tastebuds, it's salty enough on its own.

Your palate/taste is adaptable. Any healthy food will probably taste bland for a while, but after a few weeks/months, you can try adding more unprocessed/homemade "junk food" or unhealthy shit and it'll taste amazing.

For savoury meals, sriracha is a game saver. Any type of sauce/hot sauce. Hot sauces are usually hot+acidic+a little sugar, they are very strong so you don't use a lot and I could eat a whole kilo of dry rice with sriracha and it'd go down smooth

For sweet meals.. well, I'd argue it's hard to find a "healthy" sweet meal that is big enough to be considered lunch. But some bread with butter and honey/jam paired with a piece of fruit and a big serving of skyr/yogurt, that's food porn baby
