Weighted chin ups or weighted pull ups?
A lot of the people I've talked to say they're basically the same exercise but they have to be wrong right?
... right?

They´re the same exercise one recruits your biceps the other works your forearms more.
like pullups
ate chinups
simple as
>like easy exercise
>ate hard exercise
whoa
Not him but chin ups are much easier, they only feel weird starting from a dead hang
Haha you guys I’m just le ebic trolling no need to get feisty xD
You wanna go mate I'll take you on
All of these retards saying they are the same are wrong and retarded. They are not the same. Its harder to do a pull up than a chin up. One of the reasons is that the biceps get used more than the back generally in chin ups and no forearms do not get more activated with pull ups either triceps and biceps do. Think of tricep pushdowns. Those are essentially pull ups for arms and bicep curls for biceps. Happy medium neutral grip would be hammer curls.
do both on alternating days
Why not superset pull ups with chin ups on the same day? More reps = more gains.
try doing it and see what happens
Bet you won't even be able to finish two sets
If you can manage the fatigue go ahead, but for most one of the two will eat into the other due to fatigue, and your reps may be cut short.
Do both, dummy
Pullups isolate the lats better but as a consequence you can generally add less weight or do fewer reps than chins where back+bis work together to get you up.
Personally I still prefer pullups just because the dead hang position at the bottom of a chinup feels unnatural for my wrist and shoulder- especially under load.
Neutral grip is GOAT but I dont have the handles for it on my half rack.
I can do 20+ chinups but only 7-8 pullups with iron form, why is this?
Its because you're gay
your homosexual
Biceps overdeveloped, back underdeveloped
Unless your cheating them IMO theres no way the gap should be that far apart
