Non-lifters don't even know if they should be impressed, but I'm sure they'll act impressed just to be nice. It's like if someone tells you they can skii the slalom in under 2 minutes or crack 2 watermelons with their ass in 30 seconds, who the fuck knows if that's good or bad.
People understand physical feats. You tell someone 4pl8 and they may not know, you say 405lbs and they understand the weight, cause everyone has picked up a weight in their life.
That's why strongman is better for explaining to normies.
Sure they have no concept of a 2pl8 ohp or 5pl8 DL but tell them you have lifted a full sized chest freezer over your head and their eyes would bulge.

no I hate that. Before I started lifting myself I'd watch WSM and they'd give all the weights in stones and then say "that's as much as 3 motorcycles or 2 full grown moose" or something nonsensical.

Okay but I don't care how much you can deadlift in the gym if you can ohp a moose.

Because no one has tried a lighter calf might be doable
Tommorow i'm doing this shit for 3 reps, my lower back is telling me not to do it but my program is ending next week, fuark i sould have listened and left a rep in the tank but now it's too late, at least now i know that i am not a genetic freak and go easier
that's just 4pl8?
i don't Deadlift anymore but i hit 4pl8 within 3 months back when i started lifting
the fatigue was crazy though
doing 18 heavy deadlift sets a week made me a zombie
one life, it's worth an attempt
Probably not but I'd give it a go
Yes. If you can't rep 4pl8 then you're a dyel.
This. Even if you take 6 months off you should always at least be able to pull 405.
this. the average joe lifts 4pl8, SwoleShack standard is 6pl8
>the average joe lifts 4pl8,
where do you live
He's just shitposting. Talk to anyone that doesn't lift, even if they live an active lifestyle people consider you insanely strong if you lift 4pl8.

For real. Went to a satellite campus of a state school and I swear repping 4pl8 felt like I was a damn circus attraction.
What are the stakes?
I pulled 350 at 175lb BW with two blown out lumbar discs last week so probably if I absolutely HAD to.
youre such a homosexual
Yeah no problem. First time I ever deadlifted I pulled 3pl8 for 6. After 2 years I was repping 5.5pl8
t. long armed and short legged gibbonbro
405? I'd be using mixed grip, I haven't deadlifted in a year.
easily
That is my warmup. 4pl8s, then 6pl8s, then 8pl8's for my working set.
Post shriveled raisin balls
Based. I do 10pl8 on heavy days. I need to tape them in place so they don't slide off.
Only if a muscle mommy was watching
Yes. I can rep 405., but that's probably close to my 1RM.

Yah man, I found in the past that for every plate I added to deadlift, I needed to add 1-2 additional rest days until next deadlift session.
Maybe during my next bulk, but right now I'm cutting
>Could you lift it?
Yes, easily.
>Hard mode: no warmup
Ideally I'd prefer not to but I have done that before a few times.
looks like a rat trap to me
>attempt without any prior warm up
>obliterate my spine into dust
>become permanently paralysed from waist down
>still manage to get it up
Yeah. I don't usually warmup anyway, it's only helpful for ballistic movements.
Every movement I make I go ballistic
depends on whether it's 15kg or 20kg each plate, if it's 20kg for plate then i cannot lift it, if it's 15kg for a plate then i cannot lift it as well
yeah I do 405 on RDLs
4pl8 i could probably do 8 reps and i'm dyel
No
I warm up with that
>Two bar jacks in the shot
I'd just use those. It would be easy.
Duh
I'm forklift certified.
>walk
Walking is for plebs.
Lift it..i pulled an eye muscle looking at it.
It's my max so probably if I'm feeling good. But I'd need to have some prime pussy on the line to risk doing it without a warmup.
Sure, just give me straps or a lot of chalk
>go to your home gym
>you are alone
>see this
Would you squat it OP?
How much is that? I can squat 3,5pl8 x 5
Isn't that just the same 405 but with pussy plates?
Wouldn't ideally just pull it with no warm up, but not really an issue. Could zercher this if i needed to.
i really fucking hate those interlocking plates. what fucking retard invented those have a nice day
Yes.
no 🙁
I've only attempted 405 deadlift once and failed
