Is TRT a good way to get my sex desire back and gain some muscles? Anyone with the same experience?
>Live like shit for 19 years
>Hey guys my body doesn't function well anymore what do?
Move your ass and eat healthy
Muscles, not really unless you're very low test. I didn't notice any change in rate of muscle gain after going on TRT. 100% improved my libido, focus, and depression issues though. I don't need SSRIs or anxiety meds anymore. And my libido is on par with what it was when I was 15. 30yo on TRT for 2 years now.
Go see a urologist and let them test your levels. Pcps and endos are shit for trt.
I'm in a similar boat right now. 30 yo, 5'11, 190 with similar signs of low test. I've tried all the natural methods of raising: exercise, healthy fat diet, sunlight, supplements and still around 290 ng/dl test average after several blood tests. I'm about to hop on TRT for the mental/libido boost more than anything.
Do you, smoke, eat bad, ignore cardio, get bad sleep, aren't taking vitamin D/ashwaganda/maca, especially maca.
Do these before roiding you retard
If you're truly low test, the first few can help. Supplements won't meaningfully.
I tried everything in the book. It bumped me from 145ng/dl to 230. Which is still way too low. If you don't need trt, don't bother. If you do, it's life changing and no amount of supplements come close.
230, Christ. You've been genetically cheated, do what you gotta do.
I can't afford tests, I've had worries im low test but i think im just lazy. When i was a roofer i was able to snap out of bed at 4am and get my day going. I gotta work on structure and routine, from there i can guage if i need a pick meup
Yeah I did. Insurance should cover most of the labs if you have it. My labs cost me like 50 bucks. Without them, it could be anything though. You need a baseline before reliable treatment. Anything under 300ng/dl fits the guidelines but some people have low free test even above that level. Other meds besides trt can help with that.
Did you get total test or just free test?
I don't have insurance and have been thinking of doing one of those online labs. Unfortunately the only ones that do total test require you to go to a local lab to draw and that costs more money.
For baseline, total, e2, and prolactin. They might do free if the doctor is a bit more liberal and total looks kinda low but in range but symptoms still present. Most won't though for fear of the gov fucking them.
All my tests now are cbc, occasionally cholesterol and total T. Doc only checks e2 if I present symptoms, which I never do anymore but did initially as we figured out the protocol and my response.
Those online tests usually the fee covers the draw at the lab. They don't take insurance but take HSA usually if (most people don't) you have it.
Hey I'm gonna use that thread to ask a question about my levels.
I got my bloodwork done for the first time ever recently, sitting at 542ng/dl. Apparently the normal range is between 240 and 871 for men between 20 and 45 years old (I'm 27). Does that technically put me slightly above average? I don't know what the most common range of values is for men.
you're smack dab in the middle. Don't feel bad about being average. You're right were you're supposed to be. Not to sound like a basedboy but there such a thing as test levels being TOO high.
Stay on the good path, and you shouldn't have anything to sweat
Thanks. I thought it was slightly higher than average considering the amount of strength and muscle mass I've been able to put on within my first year of lifting but I guess it's just other genetic factors at play.
Honestly, if you can put on muscle, have a healthy libido, and can wake up with an erection. You have nothing to worry about and shouldn't even check your levels. It's a slippery slope to hrt because you obsess with levels and numbers and transforming your body with needles, when all u need-led was some iron in the hand and belly full of carbs and protein
Thats about average and healthy.
Can confirm. Anything above 900ng/dl and you'll likely have e2 start spiking and issues with your heart like cholesterol and blood pressure.
>Is TRT a good way
penis health is way more complicated than just test. my free test is fairly high, for the last 4 years it's between 800-960 ng/dl and at 34 im totally impotent.
Could be poor blood flow. That's a common cause of impotence besides low t
>from 12 to 26
>insanely horny
>enjoy life a lot despite being a beta virgin
>highly emotional, cry like a bitch a lot, rage a lot, get extremly lost in thought and creative
>high anxiety, even in non-anxious situations
>often high energy, but also often tired
>testosterone at like 400, don't make good gains
then at 26 (january 2020) i'm tired of my high anxiety and try and get healthy with food and supplements
somehow i fucked my shit up and became extremely depressed, fatigued, zero libido, can't think, can't cry, can't feel, pure hell. I think my attempts at anti-excitatory supplementation to curb stress just nuked all excitation, even the baseline excitation you need to wake up in the morning. I've half recovered, but I feel like I'm a completely different person.
>weak/intermittent libido, don't care
>don't really enjoy life to the same degree
>not very emotional, feel kind of okay but I would rather have the bipolar tier of emotionality I used to
>anxiety is almost entirely nuked (this is awesome)
>always tired, never wake up with a bang like I used to
>last time i measured testosterone was the same, don't know how my gains are since i stopped regularly working out due to fatigue/depression
I just want to get my spark back, I've started taking sunflower lecithin (for the choline) and it's at least making my dick wetter, but it's nowhere where it should be. I'm eating lechithin instead of eggs because I think i gave myself vitamin A poisoning (liver makes me feel absolutely awful).
Go to a hospital first, to make sure you didn't give yourself jaundice from abusing vitamins.
Look inward for change, not some plant or pill
>go to a hospital first
my vitamins are all fine on paper, hospitals don't give a shit about you unless you're dying, at most they'll throw a SSRI at you. But my vitamins aren't fine, because there should be no reason why eating 85 grams of chicken liver instantly gives me a very noticable restless robotic feeling for a week afterwards if they should be fine. (apparently vitamin A decreases the synthesis of acetylcholine, which can act calming and also cause the release of various fluids, like precum)
>Look inward for change, not some plant or pill
Your body and psychology are the same system, and either can influence and be influenced by each other. Why would i be anxious talking to my very nice mom if my brain wasn't overexcited by nothing? Why would i go from anxious to completely zonked and not giving a shit about anything if nutrition wasn't important? Inner change is important, but inner peace is not the difference between jumping out of bed in 4 in the morning ready to go to the gym and then jack off before uni to dragging yourself out of bed, finally becoming awake somewhere around 4 hours later. Inner peace is not what is going to stop your constipation. Inner peace is not going to make your dick literally double in size both flaccid and erect and become lubricated (which has happened intermittently, and if you bring up the placebo effect you can fuck off). Inner peace is not going to give you burst capillaries and rosacea. Inner peace is not going to literally ping-pong your color perception from greyscale to insanely vivid LSD tier 3D glory. Inner peace is not going to spontaneously make you so fatigued you can't walk 100 meters without sitting down to rest. ALL of these are things which i've experienced duing my pathetic 3 year quest for health.
And sure, I'm in a pretty good position now aside from bad days, but I NEED to be constantly horny and erect again like i used to be, because without my dick I can't find a girl or a future.
Just lift weights and do lots of exercise and stretching in the bottom range of the squat.
I'm obese and it REALLY increased my erectile function (surprisingly since my anti-depressants should have an adverse effect).
Stay away from TRT booster supplements. Most of them are a scam. Just lift and up yer protein intake.
I had an issue with low sexual desire (still do), got tested annnnnd i'm at 700...turns out sex drive is much more complicated than having good testosterone. In my case, i suspect my marital issues are big factor
if you are biologically primed for it, you will have good sex drive even if you're married to danny devito, youll just look for it elsewhere.
Try D-Aspartic Acid combined with Tribulus
Thank me later
OP here. Thanks frens. I will try some natural paths. I want to be horny all the time like I used to be(my Testo was 870 two year ago, before COVID), or at least sustain an erection for more than 10s... Sex was the single best thing in life for me... It was a wonderful way to get rid of stress... And now I just don't have this escape valve anymore... If all of this is just the natural walk of life, I think I can accept that I will have to "fix" with non-natural alternatives. The problem is if it can't be fixed, like I suppose is the case of impotence caused by blood circulation problems (for instance by diabetes or high blood pressure, which I think I don't have... Or COVID, which I had).
I took testo test again, together with thyroid hormones, last week, and waiting for the results to show to my uro, but honestly I don't know if I can trust... Probably will try 2 different uros.
look at what causes arousal in the brain, it's various chemicals and I think testosterone isn't actually the immediate cause, it just enables it.
You sound like a porn addict.
Cut the shit out and lift.
generally a good idea to do everything you can easily do to get test levels back naturally before you go to supplements. more sleep, building muscles, sunlight, avoiding processed foods, avoiding cigs drugs and alcohol, weaning off meds. particularly with a large focus on eating wholefoods, drinking water, working out, and sleep. These will fix more problems than you think but may not fully fix your libido issues. if your libido is still shit then go ahead i guess, but theres always viagra
honestly, consult a doctor and ask for any lifestyle changes you can make before a drug prescription.
