Thoughts on Peating?

I've been drinking a quart of orange juice a day and my brain fog is gone.

i think it can help most people, my digestive issues are gone when i cut out grains. thing is, the quality of the foods is the most important thing when you follow his advice and most newbies make this mistake, chugging tropicana OJ and cheap homogenized milk won't make you feel any better

What orange juice do you recommend?
There's a raw milk dispensary nearby so I got that base cleared.

i buy bags of organic oranges and just eat them. was considering juicing, but probably won't.

anything that's only orange is good but sadly they're expensive, ray said that concentrates should be fine. as for milk, any non homogenized are good

Ray peat was a smart guy but a lot of the stuff he wrote about was theoretical, not a proven diet plan. I recommend people actually read the articles from his website instead of just randomly trying foods that are associated with him.

Why the fuck would I read some mathematical schizo theory that doesn't even make any sense? Just tell me what to eat, I'll try it for a few weeks and see how I FEEL. You know that's how all these theories are actually created? They try something, see that it works and then AFTER they come up with some bullshit scientific explanation. God I hate sciencefags so much.

        >I'll try it for a few weeks and see how I FEEL
This is literally what he says though, try things and see how your body responds. I agree with some of the things he says about PUFAs, but contrary to that raw salmon makes me feel amazing after I eat it.

peatbros, do you supplement thiamine or do you rely on your diet to give you enough of it?

milk, eggs, and potatoes should be enough, though i think peat said it's better to megadose it

I've implemented a lot of his ideas but still eat lots of starch (potatoes)
HCLF with the fat I do get being from raw dairy, animal and coconut makes me feel godly and my TDEE is much higher

    A couple of points
    1. contrate orange juice does not ruin all vitamins etc although ofc it's not optimal
    2. Different carb sources are gonna work for different people. There are no most eat carb source. Fx you might prefer another type of juice. And also different people respond differently to starches etc.
So one should try and find the carbs that works for you.
The most important thing is that your body is getting fueled up with carbs
Cut out PUFAs the best you can and make sure you don't burden your system with hard to digest foods

It doesn't. Orange juice is literally gray in color and flavorless after processing the color and taste are from added orange oil before its packaged

With a healthy metabolism you should be trying to be in an many easily digested calories as possible. Fuel for the furnace

I don't know why people take advice from someone as emaciated and frail as Peat but then again vegans take advice from people on the verge of death. Never understand the gullibility of the plebs.

None of Peat's ideas have any first principles behind them, there is no evolutionary basis for his diet, he's just copied dietary ideas that are true (like understanding the superiority of saturated fats) and added in a load of processed sugars like juices and coca cola because he himself is a modern food addict who can't function without his fix. He's like these grifters obsessed with normalising drinking coffee 5 times a day because they are caffeine addicts.

      >I don't know why people take advice from someone as emaciated and frail as Peat
Because most people including you subconsciously realize that having high body fat % is unhealthy and your body naturally wants to have as little muscle as possible. We evolved to look weak and frail, yes you can force your body into a different form with enough effort but it won't be healthy for you.
Thin people live longer, are healthier and have better brain function.

I think I have mild hypothyroid based on my tsh
I tried low dose cytomel for a while but I didn't feel any different except my resting heart rate went from 60s to 90s which freaked me out so I stopped
I also have very low dhea like below the reference range. I've tested like 200 blood markers and that's the only one that's consistently out of range
    Peat fags plz help

How long did you try cytomel for, and what dosage? Also why would you try any kind of diet/hormones if you feel fine, I'm assuming you have some kind of symptoms no?
