SS/SL is still the best for beginners by nature of its' simplicity, and getting people interested in weight training. You either do the program for a while and move on to a split because you did your own research, or you get filtered because you were expecting to look like Arnold by doing a full body routine and you're too retarded or lazy to figure out what to do after those beginner programs.
