Although I tend to agree those things are outside of your control.

      >>sub 20min 5K
      wouldn't call it minimum
      >>sub 13sec 100m
I have no context for this
      >>10 pull ups
      >>10 chin ups
redundant and but way easier to achieve than a sub20 5k.

Anon we're talking sub 20min, not sub 16min.

I run 10k 3 times a week at about 34:22 it's not bad but I don't do speed training or anything like that which is more niche.
My idea is that being able to run or jog at any pace without resting for 25 minutes would be a better "minimum". A 20 minute 5k is pretty much the bar across most men's age ranges for "advanced". Intermediate being around 22-23 minutes.

      >I run 10k 3 times a week at about 34:22 it's not bad
      >Humble brag
      Miring that time though.

Anon last Olympics 5000m no one finished above 14min, that's the elite. Guys running 17:49 are advanced

I don't see how that's a valid point of comparison considering how elite within the elite they have and probably on peds. It's like comparing 1% to 0.001%

              Anonymous

Elite is elite and if you aren't at Olympics final you aren't part of the cool guy's group. Peds or no peds.

okay so do you want to play retard semantics or do you want to go to Running Level and find out what their definition of elite is? Because I'm not going to debate this with you they're simply a better source than you, they decide what words mean more than you. If you have problem with it go outside and scream at a tree or something.

Anon almost 18 minute is not elite no matter what some random website says. Olympics is where elite people are, no one there had a time even close to that. That's a time you can find in any running club.

This is from a shitty 10K race from a few weeks back. By your logic all these guys are elite.

                Anonymous

maybe idk what the % of either athletes or of the world record that is and what their definition of "elite" is. Unless there's some kind of published sources we're comparing in their usages there's no debate. You're just throwing shit out there and without that context it doesn't mean anything. There's not like a gotcha moment to get out of this or whatever you're clutching at.

Yeah I was thinking 34:22 is a pretty hardcore time lol. When I trained running I got 10k in just about 40 minutes, and I only trained a month, although every day

    >sub 20min 5K
That's hard as fuck for many people that don't distance run very frequently. I hit a sub-9min 1.5 mile before I hit a sub-20min 5k.

    >sub 13sec 100m
I find this varies a lot from person to person depending on build. I've seen trained people struggle with this, and I've seen untrained people get it in the first week.

    >10 pull ups
    >10 chin ups
Should be either/or, really not much reason to include both honestly. I prefer neutral grip though

Also should add in 50 pushups in a set without pause.

How long to bring a 35 min. 5k down to 20?

        Anonymous

I think it took me a little over two and a half years, but I wasn't keeping track of how long it took because I didn't really care. I wasn't very consistent with my training either. I've heard people compare a sub-20min 5k to a 3pl8 bench in terms of difficulty and I feel that it's a good comparison

It really isn't that useful because most women can't handle being banged for 1 hr straight, and it's a waste of time because cooming feels about the same whether it's after 15mins or 1 hr

I dont even coom most of the time cause i want to save my energy and t and also dont want to make every bitch preg. Wrong place to talk about sex here anyway. Bye

As someone that used to be able to run 5km in about 18:30, you're not getting the majority of men doing 5km under 20 minutes.

It's fucking hard, and probably beyond the reach of people that are seriously into powerlifting, strongman, body building etc.

I'm a sub 3 marathoner and fast long distance running is absolutely pointless for anyone that doesn't want to be fast at long distances. Comfy sub 25 5k is perfectly fine for every non runner. And for a runner 5k is ridiculously easy. Brag about really fast 10k and marathon times or fuck off.

The eternal marathoooooner slowfag. All that matters is if you are competitive within your event group or not. 26 miles in 3 hours is not more impressive than 3.2 miles in 17 minutes.

sub 20min 5k is a mediocre time for anyone who is ottermode or runs seriously. sub 20min 5k is pretty godly if you are a technically overweight/obese (by BMI) bodybuilder or powerlifter/weightlifter

Sub 13 100m is weird. I'd replace the running ones with
      >Sub 5 mile
      >Sub 40 10k
10 chins is redundant. Just leave the 10 pullups and add something like
      >20 dips
      >50 pushups.
      Also,
      >1/2/3/4
      is obligatory.

Swimming is too varied and dependent on technique and if you swam as a youngster. For swimmers, it would be something like
      >sub 20 1500 free LCM
      >sub minute 100 free LCM
but most non-swimmers wouldn't have a hope of that.

Those are the bear minimum requirements to call yourself a man.

No one gives a shit for whatever you’re good at as a minimum req.

    >be able to run a mile
Any time frame with no walking
    >200 lbs, unless cardiofag
    >20 push-ups at minimum
    >10 pullups
These are not hefty requirements and are okay for anyone not sedentary.
