I wish to stop doing drugs. Or at leat take a good break.
>Smoke, drink or snort nearly every day
>No nonusing friends
>No job, hobby or gf
>Selling is my only income
>Nearly broke
I want to beat my addictions. How can i do that? In september i start studying law, dont have time to temper of or quit one substance at a time. Thanks for existing, /fitfrens!
sounds like you need something else to fill the void, study should help but dont wait. you will also probably drift from your friends if all you have in common is drug use
>you will also probably drift from your friends if all you have in common is drug use
Yeah they wont help. Hung out and went to a party tonight with them but stayed completely sober. Most of em tried to make me drink severall times... A nonusing gf would be great atm!
Go to AA.
Not a bad idea, dry out as much as you can before your study starts, cut the deadweight friends youll meet more people in school.
>youll meet more people in school
Yeah i need to be sober from the beginning or i will only know degenerates there
I am neither a alcoholic nor a christian. Their way of "submiting yourself to a higher power" and admit i canot controll alcohol will not be possible for me.
>"submiting yourself to a higher power" and admit i canot controll alcohol will not be possible for me.
You don't need to submit to higher power to admit you cannot control alcohol. If you're an alcoholic, it one of the main processes keeping you one.
yea you need to stop, you can't even spell. they're frying your brain, man!
It feels impossible. And it probably is, as our minds are already too rotten for years of constant drug use.
>have a healthy life running and lifting, working from monday to friday…
>…until weekends
>friday night get drunk and high as fuck
>saturday smoke weed and cigarettes all day
>sometimes Hispanice things up with a little M or LSD
>sunday try to recover from all this drug abuse
This is how I cope with it. By now I know my IQ is lower than it should be and I’m gonna die a painful death. I just can’t stop doing them or else I get terribly anxious and irritated. Last time I tried to quit I hit my brother in law. They think I’m better now I have my life in order but little do people know about my heavy drug use.
And for us junkies I think it’s the best.
Enjoy your life while you can OP.
Look into naltrexone. It’s an inexpensive generic prescription drug that greatly inhibits cravings. It is most often used for alcohol, opioid and nicotine addiction.
What helped me with naltrexone is you don’t have to quit drinking or have this whole AA “conversion.” You can still go out and drink, it’s just not fun. You go from getting hammered to being the guy who sips 1-2 drinks over the night and drives home.
You take it until you’ve re-trained your brain not to associate alcohol with a flood of reward, and then you can taper off. Do I think it’s ideal to use a pharmaceutical drug to beat alcohol? No — but it’s a fuck of a lot better than being enslaved to your addictions, or playing the brutal (and failure-prone) discipline game.
I read about it 2 days ago here on fit bc some anon cared about us junkies! It looks very promising. I am glad i have a another backup if i would fail. Not going to use or drink from now on but i will get these pills if i somehow fail! I swear! Not going to loose against the fucking poisson. They will no longer ruin everything in my life
>drug to stop drug addiction
American was a mistake
I was invented in finnland afaik. Its called the sinclair method. Also soviets did similar techniques or worse
Better than the alternatives.
Read the book “The Cure for Alcoholism” by Roy Eskapa for a detailed rundown. It’s highly individual, but you’ll want to plan on at least a few months to achieve behavioral extinction, potentially years.
It isn’t expensive here in the US —my doctor wrote me a script, I think I paid $19 for a month supply. There are sites like OarRX that you can use as well.
You take it until you’ve re-trained your brain not to associate alcohol with a flood of reward
How long is this? This looks very promising but also expensive as fuck.
>Enjoy your life while you can OP
Thaaanks alot anon!!!
What level of autism does somebody need to have to find these """guides""" useful?
>Oh shit bro I never thought about showering until I read this, thanks!!
>Writd down your thoughts

>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
And what if you drinked but not to the point of getting drunk and high as fuck, and limit your cigarette amount ?
I'm kinda in the same boat, I work, lift and healthy living all week, on the week end I like to use speed and smoke weed, ill even masturbate for a couple of hours. I'll have a glass of wine maybe and probably a micro dose of lsd. I feel fine. I still workout on weekend and do some cardio.
In fact getting a job as made all of this more enjoyable because i'm not doing jack shit with my life. you should try to reduce the amount
Just stop lmao addictions literally aren't a thing
>How do I get straight within a month?
You don't. Let alone begin studying while your brain is calling you a moron at 150 decibels every millisecond
You need a job to keep you busy and make money so you don't have to sell and don't hang out with the people that use. Personally, I do drugs and I drink a lot but since I also have an addictive personality I have always made it my most important rule not to use during the week. Even when I didn't have a job I got up early every morning, worked on my own projects and lived life like I was still employed. It's important to maintain that structure and never fall into the habit of just getting that instant gratification whenever you want. I don't intend to cut out drugs (yet) because I think there is a time and place to do them in moderation but that time is not every fucking day. Unfortunately you only have 1 month left before your studies so I don't know how feasible it is to get a job now but maybe just try to have a structured daily routine that involves waking up early at the same time every day, then do something productive, whatever that may be and go to bed at the same time every night. Also, Fouad did a great interview with Antoine Vaillant who went through like 5 rehabs until he finally got away from addiction, at least for now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CVvP-W5meA
>addictive personality
You mean "retarded"?
Cos it sounds like you're just retarded.
I never acted on it so I am going to assume that you are wrong.
Stop doing it and find something else. I noticed I only smoke out of boredom - I don't smoke if I have something fun to do that keeps me occupied.
In other words: Find a fucking hobby.
If you hang out with junkies, you'll always be one step away from relapse. If you have a lot of free time, you inevitably end up thinking of it. Anything blocking your path to your addiction helps, even something stupid like depositing all your cash and making it difficult to withdraw or placing a daily limit on how much you can withdraw.
Taking up a healthy habit is also hard, but starting (creating the habit) is the most difficult part. I suggest something minor if you're not used to exercise at all a brief, effortless jog is enough. But you have to do it every day to get used to it. Once you do, you can start adding to it slowly. If you try to heromode some epic workout routine from the start you will just fail, get depressed and fall back on escapism.
Also you already got some advice before my post in this thread, another thing I wanted to suggest is don't try to do everything at once, I think it's too difficult and prone to failure. Focus on one thing and go for small but consistent progress
There's no real way to go from 100 to zero with drugs
Begin tapering
Stick to a strict regime
Dont forget why you wanted to quit in the first place
Remember that memory is a tricky thing, you will most easily remember the good times instead of the bad, this is a consequence of how the brain works that you must overcome
