Should I add this exercises to my chest routine? I never liked it because I felt more tension in my arms than in my chest + didnt feel I could control the dumbells nicely

Because you're trying to lift more weight than you actually can lift with good form, you dumb retard.
You need to do cable pec flyes instead. The problem with dumbbell flyes is you have zero tension during the contraction at the top and peak tension during the stretch. The cable flye gives consistent tension and you can hold it for a second while you contract at the top.
Jay Cutler doesn't bench and just does heavy dumbbell presses because benching heavy can cause pec tears. You'd have to be pretty strong for that to be an issue but db presses are safer and probably give more balanced development

I wish I made the switch to DB bench press instead of barbell. I notice that I get a better stretch on the chest and it's shoulder friendly.
I'm so sick of these DYEL exercises. I get furious when I do gayy little accessory lifts like this. These do fucking nothing. The easiest way to filter an exercise is to disregard any exercise you're supposed to do with >Muh low weight, focusing on mind muscle connection

I started with PHUL and that's one of the lifts.
PHUL has a lot of good lifts, only problem is it overcompensates with leg days. Do squats or deadlifts, not both on the same day.
you can do whatever you want on phul, the whole idea is upper lower split with micropredation. you can select any exercises you want.

This. Cable flies are better. People can do w/e they want obviously but DB flies are pretty meh and like other posters report it hurts my shoulders.
The real chest MVP is the squeeze press
These make my shoulders/elbows pop.
