        How long have you been lifting for? I distinctly remember squats not being a big deal pre-SS. When SS started to get shilled online everyone acted like it was impossible to make gains without them.

      Trap bar is a useless DYEL contraption.
      Machines are fine, but you need a baseline level of strength and form competency with free weights first.
      Cables are great.

    Maybe, but if you have a home gym they are almost a requirement unless you have the insane amount of real estate for all the equipment needed to hit those muscles without squats.
