then again, most people going to my small gym are zoomers deadlifing 2 plates.
I hit 3 last week, and want to get 4 off the floor asap.
It's a fun lift, but feels like a novelty lift.
I don't care if it's less effective than other lifts for the muscle group, because I do those too.
Statistically speaking, Deadlift is by far the safest of the big three. It's also the one that's most useful for real-world applications, because you have to lift heavy objects in that position very often.
