yeah, ive been lifting since 2018. i eat 230g of protein per day of chicken and beef and dairy protein but i cant build muscle or get appreciably stronger. most people will outlift me and be bigger easily after half a year

Everyone mentions you have body dysmorphia but what about if you have poor lifting numbers, that's something that can be calculated. It's also more honest and competitive to compare yourself to the gym goers, even tho depending on where one live's 1-2/3 of adults are totally out of shape so the main thing is you lift.
Look up Geoffrey Verity Schofield on YT, he's an outlier who looks pretty fit (like you do) but has somewhat poor lifts compared to most people who run fitness channels (and most people running those channels are on roids or lie some other way). If you want to get perspective on the fact there are people who look stronger than they actually are and you can deal with it too.
Could be you need to check what other things in life you CAN control, because you seem to be kind of upset that you can't in fact control your genetic potential.

Which lifts do you focus on mostly when comparing to others? Among gym goers I tend to see le bench press is what divides men into two categories, some people lift 100kg in 6 months or less (and none of them have a decent diet or program, no one has that in the beginning), for others it can take years of steady progress. This includes fat, skinny, skinny fat and fit men in both categories and it just goes like that.
Which means that some of the men are going to look stronger than they are, for example arms size doesn't always correlate to strength tho it often does.
About steroids, you don't sound like a person who would feel like they have achieved something by just taking a cheating shortcut but this might be me projecting.
