whats better, time under tension with controlled eccentric or high rep with cheats?

the answer is literally both, you start with strict, controlled reps and begin to cheat as you approach/push past failure.

hmm. ill have to try that. adding some accessory work into a non lifting routine and i have concluded my delts/shoulders are weak af. thanks

blast the shit out of your rear delts, that's what people most often neglect and they're incredibly important at making sure you don't look lopsided and retarded from the side

idk. i boulder and climb a lot. my push has always dogshit compared to my pulls even when i was lifting. seems to me that my weakest point is lateral/front and its affecting my overall shoulder stability. sad state of affairs tbqh.

either way though, ill take a look and see where i need to improve.

every seated lift with a standing variation is just wasting free stabilizer/core/general strength gains for no reason
    >muh increased overload
overload these nuts in your mouth while you're sitting down like you do when you pee bitch

why the FUCK do i need stabilizer/core gains on fucking lateral raises? Im trying to grow the side delts not get some minimal strength gains on the core you idiot. Now the lift is being slightly limited by stabilizing instead of focusing on just the delts.

If I want core gains i work out the fucking core

If your delt stimulus is suffering because of your core during standing lat raises, you are the exact person that should be doing standing lat raises. Your core is weak. Wasted trips

Thanks OP, I'm a big fan of lateral raises but this never occurred to me. I'll be sure to replace my standing raises with sitting ones tomorrow.
