Usually college is where people start making gains. People don’t lift during high school unless they are playing a sport and the lifts are rudimentary. Beyond the first two years of lifting anyway gains become less frequent and not particularly worth it—if you want to get absolutely yoked you need to take steroids. Nothing more pathetic than a natural lifter chasing after enhanced physiques. But you should be satisfied lifting naturally unless you have unrealistic body standards.
I started at 23 as an extremely skinny cigarette addict and easily started outlifting teenagers who've been at the gym for years in about 6 months. You're a grown man. Just fucking get at it. You wont regret it.
>missed out on high school injuries
Look at the bright side. I know a few people with fucked up bodies, uneven shoulders, scoliosis, fucked up hamstrings and knees from being retards in their 'teens. Now they're ~30 and won't get anywhere in the gym. It's not polite to be cruel and say this to their face but they really aren't gonna make it they can't train any big lift without re-injuring themselves and having to constantly be visiting physiotherapists they should just give up they will forever look like shit and be weak.
people who win weightlifting tournaments always started in high school though
you NEVER hear of someone who started lifting at like 24 win any lifting competition
it's not too late, start bulking now.
Shut the fuck up
+1
There are people lifted in high school who DONT lift now
Just lift, shut up
Literally me and now I'm fat
Up your protein, lift to failure. You should be able to add reps or weight every time you go in.
