First week at gym. These are some exercises I did and their weight:
STRICT biceps curl: 6 kg 10 reps 4 series
Seated bench press: 50 kgs 8 reps 4 series
Seated leg press: 120 kgs 10 reps 4 series
Triceps bar pull down: 10 kgs 12 reps 4 series
I know those aren't all the muscles, I just want some feedback.
People are strong and weak in different areas. When I first joined a gym in my 30s, I realized I had pathetically weak chest and legs but insanely strong triceps and lats for no reason that I can think of.
I was the same way but my legs were pretty strong. I was squatting 3plates in about a month and was deadlifting 4plates in 6 weeks... My bench took about 5 months to get to 2plate but ohp was 1plate like the 3rd workout
Feel like everyone starts with a weak chest unless you're a manlet with tiny arms to use physics hax. There's genuinely very few sports or jobs that put pressure on chest to hypertrophy.
Boxing seems like it would. Or specifically heavy bag work.
ur average
Seated bench press is killing your gains bro. You gotta do them standing
>Seated bench press
?
>he doesn't do standing bench press
NGMI
I think it's a machine.
people don't care about you.
Always start with hanging bench presses
Where is your Seated Squat and Horizontal Deadlift?
Seated bench press? Is this one of those ironic lifts thread?
I think he probably means that he used the bench press machine
>First week at gym
nobody knows it yet
Do a bit more research and look into compound lifts. Strength can be measured on your 1 rep max (1RM). Then, use something like:
https://strengthlevel.com/strength-standards
and compare.
Just because it says "LOL BEGINNER" or whatever, know that each grade is something to work towards over years. You're not meant to deadlift 200kgs on your first go and it's nothing to be ashamed of if you only pull the BAR the first time.
you just gotta keep hitting the gym man, my advice tho - focus on free weights. improving at machines seemed to not help me improve at free weights, but improving at free weights made machines easier as well (hope that makes sense lol) and good luck skinny bro, we're all gonna make it.
You aren't weak
You are strong because you decided to change yourself

You're way too early to be worried about this. Focus on building the habit and proper form. You'll get there eventually. If you rush into it then you'll become an ego lifter and fuck your shit up.
Lift weights. Log your workouts. Track your progress. Rest when your body tells you to.
