Just hit 80kg for 5 reps

Feels good bros. I was benching 60kg for 4 reps just 7 months ago. I was stuck at 60kg for 1 year, because I didn't ate enough protein. I started eating 400g "Skyr" (an Icelandic dairy product) which contains 40g protein, every day. And it worked

Also, I started gripping the bar really hard, instead of just gripping it regularly. This also helped.

I weigh 70kg. I drink 500ml Milk each day with some oats, eat 400g Skyr, eat 3 eggs, some rice and chicken, and rye bread with herring

what's your height(question mark) i also do 80x5, but iam 83kg, pretty impressive bench at your weight.

At least your thread is on topic, but are people on here really so weak they’ll celebrate 80kgx5? Is it really all just <1 year noobs posting?

stop with the meme of "you can hit 1/2/3/4 in your first year of lifting", you'll injure the newfags, retard.

            >stop with the meme of "you can hit 1/2/3/4 in your first year of lifting", you'll injure the newfags, retard.
Not that anon, but it's pretty basic knowledge and is true for most people.

            1 year for 1/2/3/4
            2 years for 2/3/4/5
            3 years for 3/4/5/6
            after that gains somewhat stall
The key is to TRAIN HARD, EAT BIG and BE SMART and not do some bullshit like SS

            >3 years for 3/4/5/6
lol, lmao even. most people won't even hit 2/3/4/5 natty, and you're saying that within 3 years they will hit 3pl8 OHP(question mark). i see videos of the fattest powershitter do 4pl8 OHP with massive degree of arched back, and you claim that natties will do it in 3 years(question mark)

            >Skyr
            [...]
            [...]
            [...]
It's true though. Sadly. I spent 2 years working out with calisthenics and I started at a 75kg bench for 1, since then (a month ) my one rep max made it a little over 80. Honestly, getting a 100 kg bench shouldnt be too hard, and I'm not even white or black, my genetics are shit for strength

i agree one thing, most lifters waste their first year on a bad program, i could've hit 1/2/3/4 6 months ago, if i started with the knowledge i have now.

Is Stronglifts 5x5 viable to get to 1/2/3/4?

no idea, never read it or tried it. i tried that reddit PPL(6 days a week) but found trouble with recovery, have been running GZCLP(full body, 4 days a week) and found it much better. but it's different from person to person, just lift and run the program you think is best at that time, change it if you don't like it, etc. you'll probably hit 1/2/3/4 without going powershitter mode in 1.5-3 years depending on genetics and if you figure out the best program(for you) and lifting info(form, etc.) straight from day 1.

no, starting strength is better. 3x5 is enough, just read the book because there are different phases of the program. and remember to eat

It's just retarded newfags shitting on a tried and true program. Just read the book. What do you have to lose from just reading the book? You will not "accidentally" get inhumanly ripped legs from doing a beginner strength program for a few months. When i started i did SS, but i also did a lot of pullups. Worked great. Try it, fitness is a lifelong journey.

Most people won't consistently go to the gym after January, don't mean shit. We talking CONSISTENT SMART HARD TRAINING like I said.

3/4/5 are NOTHING. 100kg OHP is hard yes, but nothing you can't achieve in two years of dedicated lifting

that not what i meant, excuse me, i meant to say "most lifters*. 1/2/3/4 already means you are stronger than 90% of lifters, iam guessing you have a high opinion of the average lifter, but most lifters(at least in the past two gyms i trained in) don't even squat or OHP. 3pl8 OHP is simply impossible natty in 2 years. if you continue arguing that it's achievable in 2 years, without proper proof(other than "i did it" or "my friend did it), i will assume you are trolling.
                >3/4/5 are NOTHING. 100kg OHP
one of us is retarded here, 3pl8 is 140kg,

I didnt quit I just had limited equipment and when I got my hands on a barbell I started using it instead of upper body instead of bw.

The only calisthenics I do now are pistol squats and pull ups because of limited equipment

My only calisthenics right now are pistol squats and pull ups

Same bro. Once I started eating more protein I achieved new PRs super fast. I eat about 110-120g per day now and I think I'm gonna increase it after a few months

Motherfucker everybody knows Skyr, it's the only good thing your country produced and it's not even edible when you get right down to it.

But congrats on the progress. I was never stuck like that but I'm currently at 80kg for 2 which could probably do 3 and my pr is 77.5kg for 4. You are stronger than me. For now.
