    It wasn't what I expected. You "rev it up" & release. Then, your motion makes it keep going. I wouldn't expect a lot but nice if you have pain or arthritis in these areas to get them moving.
    I suppose you could just use a ball but its a different sensation. Imagine trying to keep a ball in an upside down teacup. It really reguires a bit of focus and finer motor skills than just a ball.

      I have one of the "ripcord" ones, and I've been using it for a little bit. It does generate a surprising amount of resistance considering what the exercise is. You'll probably not get any gains or anything from it, but my arm does feel good after using it for a bit.

    I bought one and it stopped working after a few days. I jump start it and it doesn't accelerate anymore

      It's mostly for the wrist and fingers. But sure, if you flail your arms it would at least pump blood through the elbow to recover.

      Possible that it doesn't grip on its axis. It has a rod riding on a "rail" in the casing. If that railing is slippery, it can't accelerate. Look up a video on how to clean it up.
