Putting together small shopping list atm. Want ideas of anything that may help me, could be supplements or tools or anything that’s made a difference for you in your pursuits
Are these worth getting if I suspect a deviated septum, at least in the mean time while I’m too busy to see a doctor?
Will it help with cardio and sleep like it claims? Getting more easily winded during cardio than I ever recall. Saw some dude mention these being the solution for him
T. Sleep apnea symptoms but slight, bad enough to feel like shit but not so bad I wake up in able to breath. Spent decades cracking my nose like one would crack a knuckle, pretty sure I fucked myself
I have tried half a dozen of these and they are completely worthless. the adhesive needs to be strong enough to grip to your nose while resisting the firmness of the material that is trying to straighten out in order to open your airway.
the material is always either too weak and is just like a bandaid conforming to your nose or too strong pulling the adhesive off your nose. or the adhesive is too weak and it comes loose easily.
shit has never worked for me once and I only try to sleep with them on. if you were to try exercising with one on I would imagine the sweat would just have it fall right off.
That was basically my worry about trying them. I may try it anyways since it’s only $16. Ehh scratch that tons of reviews basically saying exactly what you did.
if you want it for sleep get the one that is basically a couple silicone things that stick up each nostril
I use these every night and never had an issue with them. They've helped me a lot.
I have to get the large ones because I have a nose for finance.
It's the breathe right brand in the UK. A buy a box of thirty every month, costs about £11
The adhesive is so sticky I have to be a little careful taking them off in the morning or they'll also take some skin with them.
its insane how there isn't real alternatives. 11 pounds for 30 strips is preposterous
The options I’m seeing are $10 for 26, $20 for 44, and other fucked up prices and obscure amounts
$16 for 44 wasn’t too bad.
Many have mixed reviews. Some people say they changed them and they used to stick but no longer do. Others make no mention of that but either say they take skin off & have to be removed in the shower or don’t stay on at all… idk which to get. All same brand as yours.
I’d like to think my best bet is extra strength but those have the worst pricing & amounts
I love them, but don't like getting israeliteed. Has anyone tried chinkshit strips?
>don't like getting israeliteed
>chink strips
>$6.82
how dumb and poor are you?
I'll forgive you because you're playing the character of a richfag who has never bought stuff on aliexpress, but that's the price of a 100 unit pack.
>$6.82 is actually quite expensive
you literally cant even afford a full meal at mcdonalds. you are poorer than poor, get an education and better outlook on life. holy fuck i feel bad if you are being serious
You are literally retarded. Get some nasal strips maybe your brain isn't getting enough oxygen.
The Breathe Right strips that you can buy anywhere cost 5 to 10 times as much as the chinkshit I just posted along with a question about whether anyone had tried them.
>$6.82 is still a lot
go buy your $0.10 strips then but dont act like you arent poor as shit.
Nasal valve collapse / deviated septum here. I tried the top center ali strips, they're itchy and don't have enough reinforcement. I'm going to use the intake breathing kit and re-use the magnets with medical tape to stop buying strips. For workouts I find a nasal dilator works better
I use those.
they are the strongest ones.
almost too sticky, makes your skin hurt sometimes on removal.
it helps with sleeping for those with messed up noses.
but it isn't a cure.
>born with a nose for finance instead of one for breathing
Truly, life is a comedy....
they're 2 for 1 at superdrug if you have a membership card
i have 0 issues during cardio but i mouthbreathe during my sleep and my nose always gets clogged super easily
how can i tell whether its allergies, sleep apnea or something within my nose?
they work if its a specific brand with enough grip. It doesn't solve anything but it helps with the flow
that is very normal tbh. It most likely is a slight deviated septum and/or enlarged turbinates. And the main reason for the turbinates to be enlarged is allergies.
these fix my sleep, I have never had an issue with them
just don't get the small ones
They come off easy in the morning because a layer of sweat weakens the adhesive (if you're sweaty when you put them on, they wont work. You need to clean your nose)
My night-time hayfever symptons DISSAPEAR with these.
I'm excited to try these out. has anyone combined these with mouth taping? Im unemployed and I'm trying to get into a nighttime sleep optimization ritual to fix my sleep while I have the time to sleep for 12 hours a night.
People snore because they psyop themselves into accepting it as something out of their control that they just HAVE to do. Just don't snore, that's what I do and it works. I don't snore because I don't tell myself "Oh I snore so I have to snore"
Toe spacers. Foot health is extremely undervalued until you injure your foot and realize literally everything is extremely difficult without 1 foot
The obsession with 'hacks' in the modern era fucking kills me
If any of the 'no effort little trick that will hugely impact your performance' things actually worked, then they would be ubiquitous in society (see: caffeine, creatine, whey powder)
A little tape-y strap isn't going to do shit to open up your sinus, which you'd realise if you gave it two seconds of critical thought
yea its crazy how people think they can 'hack' their health by eating right consistently and thinking it will do anything. like its literally just food, mcdonalds is the same as cooking your own patty.
I think you need to work on your reading comprehension, friend
'available in lots of shops' does not mean ubiquitously used in society. they don't do anything
Go into any bicycle store and you will find devices that perform a similar function.
The fuck do you know how many people use it, or how many people have a deviated septum, or how many people just can't breathe through their nose and mouthbreathe instead. These are available everywhere clearly people are buying them.
i was agreeing with you tho, eating healthy is not a life 'hack'. you and i are the same level of intelligence friend
Apologies!
alright if you think that a little strip on your nose is going to materially impact a deviated septum, and materially impact sleep quality, then i guess you keep doing you lol
>Apologies!
no worries, we are both so high iq. big mac meals are just as healthy as home cooked meals, large coke to go along with it to increase the metabolism
There's nothing magical about the strips. They grab the skin over your sinuses and pull it up.
They are ubiquitous you big retard. Go into any supermarket or drugstore, buy a box, and try them for yourself.
I just started using them over the last week and they have cut my snoring down significantly. Still have some, but not loud like I had.
You do have to wash your face for a clean surface and place them in the right spot. And hold/press them down for like 30s to get a good grip.
Not sure if they'll help cardio or sleep apnea. Snoring, yes, to some degree.
>Not sure if they'll help cardio
I use them for fencing and they're pretty much a game changer if you have allergies
Good to know, I usually have allergies off and on through the year.
I do jiu jitsu and have a deviated septum.
These definitely help you open your nasal airways and I do notice a boost in my cardio when using them.
I also sleep better when I use the strips along with mouth tape.
I wear a Whoop and track my sleep cycles- I tend to get a significant improvement in REM sleep when using the nasal strips and mouth tape opposed to not wearing them.
got my deviated septum corrected, still feel better with them during cardio on sleep. no idea, guess I just got george floyd syndrome
>got my deviated septum corrected
I'm worried I might have to do this soon. How much of a pain in the ass was it? Did they put you under? Did it hurt a lot afterwards?
I also got mine fixed. Took an hour consultation with my ENT and later I was under for another hour and the pain was mild enough I slept that night without any painkillers. Had the occasional nosebleed for that month but afterwords was breathing better than ever.
Side note: had to scream at the nurse when I woke up since she was dead set on trying to giving me a fentanyl drip.

if you have a deviated septum you need nasal dillators not these bitch strips that are useless
and then septoplasty, but good luck if you live in the third world that is the united states. maybe be homeless for a year or take a second mortgage if u have a house
I think its worthwhile to tell everyone that a tape over the mouth does significantly improve your sleep by forcing you to breath through your nose, and also that cheap micropore tape works incredibly effectively for it. Please don't buy any gimmicky shite.
Additional note - when you rip off a small amount of tape (just enough to 'persuade' the mouth to stay close - no need to tape over the entire mouth), stick it down onto the back of your hand, and then stick it on your lips - sticky enough to stay on but takes away the pain of taking it off in the morning
wash your face first, otherwise the glue won't stick
I just dip my fingers in my cool night water and rub my nose, then pat dry with a towel, that's good enough
get an exfoliating solution with salicylic acid (aspirin/vitamin A) and 2% bpa, and mop your nose using a bit of cotton wool in the morning, as the glue can clog your pores and cause irritation in the long run
also make sure you get large ones. small/medium is female, large is male. it's an unwritten rule of products like this that manufactures can't say they're for men or women, but you just look at the demo actor on the box
the clear ones dont work like the first post said, the tan ones are God tier tho
