Is cooking your meat a meme? Cooking destroys some of the nutrition and I've been undercooking my beef mince more and more with no issues. How did we all get psyopped into thinking it's unsafe?

In western Europe food regulations are such that its pretty safe to just eat raw mince. Wouldn't risk it in America or Asia though
I know it's only n=1 anectdote, but I've been eating raw murican beef for years and haven't had a single issue. It is grass fed/finished frozen beef though.
it kind of defeats the purpose if its frozen since you're still destroying some of the structure and a good amount of the bacteria but its probably better than cooking
such parasites are expelled or controlled by the body once they have fulfilled their purpose. its not like the parasites in meat will start eating your muscle and organs they typically feed on waste and dead materials in the body
i dont think you understand what happens to uncooked meat sitting in your stomach for months or even years nor do you guys know a single thing about parasites in general
i know you guys are all about
>i obey no one
vibe but maybe for this instance you 2 might want other people what to do with food
>sitting in your stomach for months
>big pharma
>vegan
if there is 1 thing vegans aren't, its big pharma you absolute twat
of course, because veganism isnt being pushed by first world governments at any opportunity, you guys are the underdogs!! not like the medical establishment has completely demonized animal foods based off of unscientific studies and propoganda for over a century. pill popping vegans and their vegetarian xisters are heavily enabled by big pharma
uncooked meat doesnt "sit in your stomach" because its almost completely digested before being defacated unlike plants that do eventually rot if consumed in high enough amounts. 95% of people know nothing about food other than what theyve been told by their masters in big pharma.
LIKE YOU!
The meat is poorly handled and packaged in unsanitary conditions. If the meat is good sure but cheap meat is in no way safe to eat.
Losing an itty bit of nutrient so that parasites and other nasty shit dont ravage youe body isnt worth it you dumb nig?
Essential nutrients that you literally can't get elsewhere?
apparently they aren't that essential cause I've never eaten raw meat and I'm healthy
Which nutrient is that?
>OP is actually a parasite
Cysticercosis is caused by raw pork, not raw beef, retard.
Ah yes, another eternal debate that wil never be truly settled.
There is no "better solution". Both cooking or eating raw meat both have advantages and disadvantages.
So it depends on CONTEXT, something people especially online forget is a thing.
In Western Countries with high food safety standards and high quality control of the meat, you can eat the meat raw without risking getting sick.
On the other hand, if you're in a country that isn't as developped or whose meat is of inferior quality, it is recommended to cook the meat.
At least the exposed parts of the meat, you can leave the center pink if the meat if relatively fresh.
I'm french, we have "Steak Tartare" which is a steak of raw meat (always high quality) that we eat with either an uncooked egg yellow or some sauce, or both.
Eating a quality Tartare is awesome. Some people are not used to it though.
Once I cooked for a Dutch friend, made a burger, it was done how I like them, extra-rare. She immediately stopped after the first bite and said she couldn't eat it because the meat was not cooked.
So different cultures have different standards.
Famously, in China, they cook absolutely EVERYTHING they eat.
In China, if something is not coocked, you shouldn't be eating it.
Also if you catch wild game, if you hunt, it would be better to cook the food, just in case.
Because you never really know what diseases it could carry.
So Yes eating red meat raw will provide "more" nutrition because you didn't burn it and reduce its nutritionnal value.
BUT in general Cooking stuff is how humans have learned to Extract Butrients from various foods.
You don't need to cook meat to extract its nutrients, but it is a decent safety protocol to have in order to reduce any chance to get food poisoning basically to zero.
I'm therefore not for or against it.
Both have pros and cons.
Is it worth it to cook meat, destroy a few nutrients to make it safer? Yes.
Is it worth to eat meat raw for reasons above? Also yes.
cooking doesnt extract nutrients, only denatures them. you need not look any further than observe the nature of cooked vs raw milk to see how the process completely changes the structure of food thereby making it a lot more difficult to digest. in my experience, 2lbs of cooked meat makes me full to where i cant have another bite. 2 lbs of raw meat and i feel i could eat more still
>cooking doesnt extract nutrients,
Yes it does.
Some food simply can't be eaten Raw.
Some foods have to be cooked in order to be eaten.
That's what it means to "extract nutrients".
For example : Brocoli.
Try to eat Brocoli Raw.
Do it. Fucking try it.
Brocoli needs to be cooked or else you can't digest it properly.
There are food that are indigestible if they aren't cooked. Such is life.
What about Potatoes?
When is the last time you ate en entire Uncooked Potato??????
LMAO.
Try it, homosexual.
Eat an uncooked potato.
When you're done eaten Raw potato, come back and tell us how you're doing, faggit.
You "EXTRACT NUTRIENTS" by cooking because some food can't be eaten raw.
That's why Humans invented Cooking in the first place : To eat shit that otherwise wasn't edible.
Dumbkunt.
you cant eat plants raw because theyre toxic in their natural state . you cook it so it doesnt fucking kill you not because its more nutritious. its not even real food your body wants. people only ate plants to not starve to death they're not healthy you fucking drone. you cant say the same for animal products which need not any processing since they're perfect as they are unburned
Raw meat digests much faster and will not keep you full for as long
it's a meme but that's not why they tell u to cook it
it's simply because they drag the food through shit and piss before it ends up in the stores
freshly cut steak tartare is a blessing
however I would never eat any raw meat that isn't quality beef from a good butcher or restaurant
It's the same with pasteurisation. If the meat is low quality from a sickly animal then cook it, better than starving to death.
DON'T OVERCOOK IT
The "nutrients" you're talking about are all the water soluble vitamins in the myoglobin that are released as the meat cooks. They don't get "destroyed". If you're really worried about losing the small amount of nutrients in all the intracellular fluid of the meat just drink the juice left in the pan from cooking. Or keep undercooking meat, you'll look like a fucking retard either way.
