Surely even the most deluded powershitter cannot take this seriously.

People take modern women seriously, even with blatant evidence of their bullshit on their faces.

Why wouldn't people take this execution seriously, when it at least actually fulfills the required parameters?

does this solve the arching problem

banning isnt enough sumoers need to die

based, I would compete in powershitting if they did this.

      This but unironically.
Also require ass to go below calf level with squats and we'll finally have something respectable.

Holy shit, finally something good in this pozzed world

Good, but still not enough. The ROM is still disgraceful and powershitters will just learn how to arch while keeping their elbows low and shoulders high. IPF should have made a rule on the arch itself.

DYEL here. Memes and bullshit aside. Should I arch my back when doing a flat bench press or should it remain totally flat on the bench:

a slight arch is considered to be better for your shoulders. Try a small arch and see how it works for you. I would try not to arch until you hit at least 1pl8

Bro in OP's photo is arching a bit, but too much is ridiculous and not a lift. These changes make sense

arching means slight thoracic flexion, not full blown rounding dumbass.

Arch minimally. Don't be a clown about it.

Her ass isn't on the bench though, this is a no-rep even under the bullshit rules.

Her ass is on the bench when the weight unracks. It counts per the fucked up rules. Powershitting is for the birds. Joke tier hobby on par with Crossfit.

Nothing wrong with having ass off the bench on the unrack. It makes it easier and less stressful on the shoulders.

Wouldn't requiring the lifter to unrack and rerack the weight by themselves be a guaranteed way to stop this shit? Why are powerlifters so obsessed with assisted lifts? Like for squatting with the rack that retracts from the ceiling - if the lifter can't take a single step back with the weight then they have no business squatting it.

Anecdotally most of the lifters I talked to today at my PL gym including a national champ were in favor of the elbow depth change but thought the no feet on bench is dicey. It won't get changed back, I've seen more negative sentiment online than irl

I personally don't think they went far enough. Underside of elbow beneath top of shoulder joint is too abusable and somewhat vague. I would have preferred underside of elbows breaks the plane of the top side of the bench but would be willing to split the difference and say underside of elbow beneath center of shoulder.

    still a joke.
imo they should regulate the arch
maximum distance from the bench should be a human fist
if you arch more than that, you're a cheating homosexual nagger tranny liar, and you can't actually bench the weight.
