in multiple videos sam sulek suggests to sacrifice form to move heavy weights. It's a tradeoff between good form with pause and squeeze or go heavy were you won't be able to keep form and he tells to keep going heavy otherwise you're wasting time. His motto is mass moves mass. Do you agree with it? what's your views on it?
Shit advice that will get you hurt eventually
This. I tweaked my back because I wasn't focused on my form not that long ago and shit sucks. There's some validity to not being overly concerned with form but completely sacrificing it is flat out stupid.
Why gym girls have psycho eyes?
Because lifting is painful and is a form of torture. Men can handle it.
Women are naturally weaker, both mentally and physically. So they go full psycho due to pain and trauma.
>lifting is painful and is a form of torture
no ur a pussy lol
You're a tryhard low IQ mongrel. And I lift more than you.
probably just because she's contorting her body into an unnatural pose and flexing
schizo
>schizo
You are a low IQ retard. No living being enjoys pain. Lifting is pain.
You fucking nagger.
You're just afraid of women.
Not really. Cardiobunnies dont look like that
It's complicated but I'd say for exercises hardest at the top, a little cheat isnt necessarily bad because what it actually does is make that disproportionately weak top part slightly easier due to the momentum. If you do a dumbbell lateral raise slowly, you won't have any momentum helping you get that upper arm to parallel with the floor, where leverage determines the lateral delt needs to produce the most force. If you go more explosively, that top part gets just a little bit easier compared to the rest of the lift. This is what you want because exercises which are hardest at the top are by and large less efficient at stimulating growth
more weight = more fun. what fucking pussy sticks exclusively to perfect form 100% of the time? what a boring life
There's a happy medium. If I'm a total form nazi, my lifts simply won't go up because I won't push my limits. I like to start with a weight I can do for 3x8 with ok form, then improve form and add reps until I can do a really clean 3x10 or 3x12. Then I add weight and start over. First workout after adding weight on bench is always gonna be kinda shaky but I get more comfortable with the new weight on subsequent workouts.
Same Sulek is going to be injury riddled
i watched a few of his recent videos and he’s doing a lot more slow and controlled lifting with lower overall volume. i’m guessing the arab made him change his approach and now he has to pretend it’s his idea to “experiment” after building his brand around shit form and ego lifting
he literally joined the arab to prep to start competing in ifbb, he said it on their podcast.
no shit he's taking his advice.
yes it’s just funny he has to walk back on all the poor training advice he’s preached about up until now
Did that shitskin ever win anything?
Vancouver pro vs no names
It's true for mega experienced (and young) lifters like sam.
try and do that as a beginner and you're basically asking to break something coz of your shitty form and lack of awareness of when something is about to go.
>sam sulek suggests
Sam Sulek is young, roided to the gills, and thinks that he's invincible because of that, like all young people but even worse cause of the roids. The excess of today will wreck him tomorrow, and that is if it hasn't happened yet. It's cool that he lifts and he tries to inspire people and all of that, but fuck knows how many slipped disks he has already, let alone how many he'll have in his 40's.
>sacrifice form to move heavy weights
That is a one-way ticket to snap city.
> what's your views on it?
Your body is a machine, and like any other machine, it has some specs, and also some parameters it needs to obey in order to function properly. Good form is using the machine within those parameters. Find yourself outside of those parameters, and things start to break down.
It's not a good idea to push yourself to your absolute limit unless it's absolutely required. So save the tard strength for life or death situations.
Nah you're a fag, I basically did the same thing and now a lot of people think I'm some fitness guru at my gym for being big and clearly not roided.
Ego lifting is 100% the way to go
Just cause you got lucky and shit didn't break when you pushed it doesn't mean it's a good practice, or that it won't happen in the future. For every guy who lucks out there are 10 other retards just like you who end up in the ER with snapped ligaments, torn muscles and broken joints.
If you think ego lifting is a good thing, then sure, you do you. There's always room for new material in rekt threads. But don't advise people to do like you.
>people think I'm a fitness guru
Sure bud. I bet that they also clap whenever you walk in the room, don't they?
boohoo
homosexual
No, I don't agree because...
>bad form + heave weight = FUCKED UP INJURY
Please stop taking advice from fitubers that ALSO roid as hell.
>sacrifice health for seeing a random number go up
Gee anon, I don't know...
>be me
>lifting for 12 years
>225 ohp, 345 bench, 495 squat, 600 deadlift
>worst injuries to date were some shoulder problems and biceps problems
>shoulder problem was probably from manual labor wagie job combined with lifting
>see sam
>realize i've been training the same for a long time
>try out his approach
>immediately throw my back out the very first session trying to barbell row a little bit heavier than usual
that was 2 months ago and it's not quite the same yet
Got you. From time to time we might think 'I'm on a time crunch. Fuck form, gonna make this last set as fast and powerful as I can'.
But there's a reason for the form.
I've changed my routine for those super busy days and relying only in compounds. I might not be specifically targeting but a 5x5 with heavy weights will provide better and injury-free training for the day.
>pic for attention only
