Cholesterol doesn't only transport energy, it also patches damaged endothelial walls. Blaming cholesterol is like blaming band aids for the wounds they're covering.
>Cholesterol doesn't only transport energy, it also patches damaged endothelial walls.
>Blaming cholesterol is like blaming band aids for the wounds they're covering.
THIS.
Behind looking at this backwards is a multi-billion dollar statins industry, selling statins.
Plaque is like a scab over a wound. The wound is inflammation caused by other factors e.g. PUFAs.
arterial “plaque” is mostly made of calcium buddy, cholesterol is there because it’s your bodies main antioxidant, and seed oils are oxidizing in your blood stream
saying plaque is caused by cholesterol is like seeing white blood cells at an infection and saying they’re the cause of the infection
Cells contain calcium.
Try paying attention in high school.
high levels of acidity can solidify calcium in your body and contribute toward arterial plaque along with fine dense particles created by the combination of sugar and saturated fat.
And your point is?
my point is to add to your post to further inform OP and others what causes arterial plaque. i wasn't challenging you, not everything is a competition.
it's starts during childhood and it's mostly genetic every primitive people we've had the opportunity to study have it. It's just a defect in the species we're not to meant to live this long. Being a cholesterol hyper responder or having issues with not utilizing or eating too much calcium, being k2 deficient can definitely speed up the time table.
> K2 supplementation or eating LIVER.
Taken the liver pill yet?
11 mcg per 100g is shitty, and it's also mk4. The japanese prescribe like 40mg of k2 for the treatment of heart isssues.
You're better off consuming fermented foods and lots of vit k1 so that your bacteria can synthesize it in your gut
Just eat a balanced goddamn diet.
You dont need bacon every morning.
For many people that's sufficient.
For some, it's a genetic problem just like so many others. Type 1 diabetes for example.
Saturated fat intake is strongly associated with arterial plaque buildup but it's ethnicity specific. Cholesterol intake only affects the health of roughly 3% of people and is dependent on your family line.
Highly oxidative things like a high sugar intake without the antioxidants found in fruits, or extracted oils like from places like seeds, corn, or fatty legumes affect every human negatively.
Arterial plaques are comprised of oxidised/glycated LDL psrticles.
While cholesterol is present in atherosclerosis, its role isn't causal. LDL becomes glycated via chronic randle cycle activation.
Cholesterol is vital and protective in a metabolically healthy body.
>LDL becomes glycated via chronic randle cycle activation
i have genetic high cholesterol and also high triglycerides. statins have reduced my triglycerides but my ldl is still kinda high. i used to get xanthomas (ugly yellow zits) on my joints and and ever since my triglycerides dropped, they shrunk and disappeared. i think triglycerides are what cause plaque. i do blood tests quarterly and noticed i actually had lower ldl readings when i ate more oily/fatty foods like cheesestreaks and meat. i did notice spikes when i ate mroe sugar/carbs.
Statins are dangerous af. For instance look into how they effect CoQ10
they are made from the combination of saturated fat and sugar.
this was discussed by dr rhonda patrick on one of the appearances on joe rogan.
when you combine saturated fat and sugar at the same time, they combine into fine dense particles.
>he consumes salt
>he eats meat
>he eats eggs
>he drinks milk
>he eats cheese
>he eats saturated fats
>he consumes sugar
>his kids die of malnutrition
>his bones break
>he relies on modern urbanism just to stay alive
>he has ibs
>his believes ed is a normal part of turning 25
>he's easy prey
>article paid for by big meat and the coca cola company
They aren't OP, you're just very behind in your info. They used to THINK they were but as it turns out the deposits are mostly made up of calcium, not fats.
The real question is why does supplementing calcium cause this while dietary food high in calcium does not as is noted in recent study. I have not heard a good explanstion what the difference between supplemented calcium and food calcium is and why it behaves differently.
goyslop and eating all the fucking time. Americans are so goddamn fat that they can't go 20 minutes without a fucking snack. It's disgusting.
I went to doctor and they did a blood test with the following results:
HDL: 46 (ref range 40-60)
LDL: 156 (ref range 0-100)
Triglycerides: 56 (ref range 0-150)
all mg/dL
ANd they tried to give me statins AHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
my triglyceride to hdl ratio is almost 1.0, I have great insulin sensitivty and in the lowest risk group for heart disease. fuck doctors.
>And they tried to give me statins
Anon, the multi-billion dollar statins industry lost you as a patient.
There are movies about the big pharma cholesterol gangsters. They literally lowered total cholesterol from 270 being normal down to 200 to put people on drugs.
and while they lower cholesterol they lower test ranges too. Men should be getting test injections instead of SSRIs. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
If blood is full of hundreds of different particulates and hormones, why is it always fat and cholesterol that find their way into artery walls? Why are plaques never full of white/red blood cells for example?
>If eating saturated fat and cholesterol doesn't Increase the levels of them in the blood, why are arterial plaques made of them?
Those two in particular are transported through the blood inside lipoproteins due to not mixing with blood very well. These lipoproteins are created by the liver for this purpose, but if a lipoprotein gets damaged it can no longer return to the liver due to being unrecognisable (imagine a password that's slightly wrong, it just ain't the right password). These lipoproteins are eventually dealt with by the immune system wherein they become foam cells.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foam_cell
These foam cells are what find their way into artery walls through the blood vessels on the outside of them. The contents of your bloodstream have nothing to do with heart attacks and strokes.
tldr STOP DAMAGING LIPOPROTEINS BY EATING PROCESSED FOOD IT REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE
