I recently bought this thing so I could stop buying water bottles before going to the gym. It's still plastic, but you can't take a fucking glass bottle with you right?
Apparently nalgene's supposed to be good and this "tritan" plastic supposed to be safe, but I'm not sure.
What should I get then? What do you use to rehydrate?
>but you can't take a fucking glass bottle with you right?
borosilicate glass with a fabric cover, my zigzag
sneed
I just being an empty coca cola bottle, who cares
There is no way to avoid microplastics, even the most distant tribes in Africa have microplastics in them.
Just take a plastic bottle and ignore something that's not that harmful.
You know you can just buy a thermos right?
Just because you can't avoid microplastics doesn't mean you shouldn't limit them as much as possible.
I think he is more trying to avoid BPA and xenoestrogens than microplastics?
NALGENE is BPA-free so not sure why he wouldn't rock this one.
>BPA-free
Companies would use BPS or something instead
Better to just avoid plastic altogether
BPA is a false flag. It's all plastic
>Results: Almost all commercially available plastic products we sampled—independent of the type of resin, product, or retail source—leached chemicals having reliably detectable EA, including those advertised as BPA free. In some cases, BPA-free products released chemicals having more EA than did BPA-containing products.

EA = estrogenic activity
>that's not that harmful
Those random African tribes obviously have a lower concentration in their blood than urbanites do mate
Also it really is that harmful. Not to mention the biggest intake of microplastics is actually indeed from plastic drinking bottles.
What the fuck am I supposed to do if the only way I have to obtain drinkable water is by buying it in plastic bottles? It's zogged from the start
the world is fucked and we're all dying

This. I work in construction on sites where there are no existing utilities. The only means of getting water are pallets of plastic bottled water, often left in the sun somewhere before I get it.
Ever heard of a canteen?
Nalgene bottles are great. For no plastic, you can go with stainless steel like klean kanteen. I use both. Stainless steel is heavy when hiking. Disposable water bottles are terrible for the planet, so good job anon.
Buy a stainless steel hydro flask
You can get a cheap stainless steel one for <$10
why are people so scared of the water fountain?
I sip on water a lot between sets, moving to the water fountain every time would be much more inconvenient
Stop sipping so much. Hydrate before you start if you become dehydrated walk to the water fountain.
Stainless steel vacuum insulated bottle, plastic free and keeps the water colder, lighter weight and more durable than glass.
Or if you're a richfag you can get a copper one that is supposed to ionoze the water and make it better or some shit idk
Stop being so fucking autistic, your method is objectively less efficient and inferior than getting a fucking reusable bottle
If your going to fill it from the sink or gym fountain, the material your water bottle is made of is the least of your worries. Microplastics are in the water already.
BPA-free still has microplastics, studies show. Not going to post them but it's a google search away. Glass or stainless steel, copper could be good too especially with all the people taking zinc.
I like the stainless steel insulated bottles cause i can put ice in it and there's no condensation on my desk, Costco has good ones for cheap or you can get a yeti or hydro flask.
Polio was caused by the pesticides used at the time causing gut inflammation that gave viruses a direct path to the spinal cord. Give it a couple decades and we'll find the plastic was giving us cancer and other diseases.
