Quite more experienced than that. Fact remains that OHP is a good lift unless you are grossly weak for that lift in specific, which small framed people seem to be.
I literally go to the gym for this lift. I program my entire routine around this lift. I autistically research ways to improve this lift. I am trying to get it to bodyweight (195 lbs) and can currently press 167.5 for 3x3, up from 115 for 3x3 six months ago
Overhead is great it's just a frustrating lift because you don't lift a lot of weight (relative to your other lifts) and it's the hardest to progress on. But doing them strict as fuck blasts my shoulders and my core too
i have been stuck on 1 plate or sub 1 plate for over a year
one week I managed to do 1 plate x1-2 reps, the next week I can only do 0.95 plate for doubles
fuck this lift
OHP progresses well if you do a combination of heavy sets with 1-4 reps and volume with 8-12 reps. I usually work up to my ~3 rep max then finish with 5 sets of my ~10 rep max.
I got this advice from Omar Isuf who worked his way up to a 240lb OHP and it's worked great. I'm adding weight or volume every week and now I'm almost OHPing my body weight.
Its my worst lift by far (95lb 4x10) but i want to love it. Have to do it sitting though since my home gym is in the basement and the ceiling isnt high enough
Couple of el cheapo squat stands (I got some for 40 quid) would take care of that. Take em outside, in the living room, in the crapper, whatever you gotta do.
Do seared db press of military press then. Gonna get the same development and it's more isolated since you can use your back or any slight push from the legs.
i love that lift
It's useless. Only works the Front Delts that are already hit in all Chest presses.
Only powersharters and small dicked SwoleShackcels like it. You're much better off doing Upright Rows.
what a better alternative?
Sitting DB Shoulder Press
correct answer
Standing dumbell military press
Indian and/or sub 6ft? Or perhaps a lanklet? only framelets hate Ohp
Try lifting for more than 3 years.

Good for what? Exactly, fucking nothing if you don't compete
OHP isnt a competition lift you moron
its good for shoulder size, strength and health
kys
>good for shoulder size
It only works front delts. Think for yourself for once you nagger sheeple.
works on my machine
no it doesnt
that has been disproven by EMG studies
sorry to hear that you are very weak on OHP so you are looking for excuses to not do it
Lol

do you even lift?
Do you, you obvious newfag? OHP works Front Delts, nothing more.
your own video says it works side delts too, just mainly works front delts
skill issue
IT'S THE BEST LEIFT IF U DONT LIKE IT U ARE A STUPID IDIOT HOLY SHIT
We can tell. You make a dumb OHP seethe post every day. Just move on and do them seated with dbs
I will lift 1 plate for 5 even if it kills me
I'm literally on my way to the gym to hit this lift.

On the other hand, I haven't benched in years.
IF U CANT OHP OR DONT WANT TO THEN U ARE ONE STU[PID BITCH
CHEW ON THAT APPLE FOR A WHILE, PUNK

deadlift > row > ohp > bench > squat

do you train at fortis? I used to hang out and sometimes help omar film way back when at fortis, I hear he still goes there
I love this lift, but I think it's useless. I do it anyway because it feels good.

I love all the lifts
I’m at 3x 1pl8. I finally unlocked the secrets of this fucking lift.
guess it's time for you to give up the pretense of being a man and transition then
