I don't understand how American plates work.
Euro plates go up in intervals of 5kg so you can substitute 1 plate (20kg) with 2 half plates (10kg)
But American plates go up in 10lbs starting from 15. So you cannot really substitute 1 plate (45lb) with 2 halves (25lb) because then one side will be slightly heavier for no reason
How do Americans cope?
Why are you substituting 1 plate with 2 plates retard?
I go to a gym where other people interfere with my lifting. Eg they take the plates or complain about me deadlifting without all plates being bumper plates etc
I'm not a Euro.
I don't understand how euros can allow Muslims to rape their sisters and daughters. I guess we'll never truly understand each other
like nigs and Hispanics don't do that in america
I don’t understand how americans cope with having an unelected president in office
It happens kind of a lot actually.
I don't understand in what fucking situation you would be missing a 45 and only have two 25s. Wtf are you talking about.
Public gym where other people are also using equipment?
Is that scenario really so farfetched?
Ah I see, yeah I've never ran into that anywhere I've been.
In that case, does OP not know math or? Cause then you'd use a 25 and 2 10's.
>Needing 4 weights to account for 1 missing one rather than just 2
Please don't tell me you can't see the ridiculousness of this
That's 3 weights for starters.
you're telling me you have gain half a plate of strength to see progress as a euro?
No
You admit it's way less convenient than kilos though right? Surely
Yeah that's a real back breaker there. In that case then I'd just use a 35 and a 10.
My gym doesn't have 35s
>Gym doesn't have enough plates for everyone
>Gym doesn't have variety of plate sizes
You know I'm starting to think the problem here isn't the standard of weight increments here...
I live in a lower income country. My old gym was metric and I never had issues
This gym has imperial plates, but only 6 45lb bumper plates for deadlift
>lower income country.
that uses imperial? I thought USA was the only country on earth that doesnt use kg. Even Mexico and Canada do
No I just think my gym bought it's gym equipment second hand from americans
Canadian here, we use imperial. The only expectations are using km/h for speed limits but everything else we use imperial measurements.
Verification not requires
>europoor benches 60kg
>mog the gay with my 135lb bench
plate math is stupid. all you need to know is Americans lift bigger numbers, that's why we're #1 and youre still sitting around crying about losing ww2 and failing at math
I find it hard to believe Euro plates are only two weights. That seems like nonsense. Anyway I've never seen a 15 pound plate. Typical is 2.5, 5, 10, sometimes 35, and 45.
plates come in pairs and there are usually 2.5 , 5 lbs ,10lbs and 35lbs plates as well.
so if you were in such a aituation you could substitute a with a 35 and a 10lbs plate.
>starting at 15
I’ve been to a lot of gyms and never have I seen a 15lb pl8. It’s 2.5, 5, 10, 25, 35, 45.
45lbs is 20.4kg. If your plates are calibrated at just 20kg that means all your PRs are less than the American(and Canadian) equivalent pl8 count.
