i don't feel it in my lats.

do pull ups and lat pull downs bro. warm up on the lat pull down machine. do your pull ups. dont be afraid of sets of 1 or 2. fuck it. then hop back on the lat pull down machine for some volume. like super set it. set it at like 150 if you weigh 200. do your pull ups hop on do like 8 reps on the lat pull down. to your chest. rest then hop back on the pull up bar

you can't do that many pull ups and pull downs. you're just making shit up

Why do you claim that he makes shit up? It's similar to my workout. My sets look like this:
          >6 reps of pullups
          >6 reps of pullups
          >pullups to failure
          >pullups to failure + band assisted pullups to failure
          >pullups to failure + band assisted pullups to failure
          >band assisted pullups to failure
I rest for 2 mins in between sets, more that that if I reach failure because of my weak forearms. I don't know if it scientifically correct or the best routine, but going to failure works and I see some progress.

I literally can't feel it in my lats when I do pullups
I still have lat muscle though, but probably not even from pullups

Same here. I think we just don't have that mind muscle connection tbh. I remember experiencing the same thing but in my abs. It took several weeks of various ab exercises before I could properly feel them. I guess we just have to do higher rep sets for pull-ups

Your advice is complete bullshit I can easily do 15 pull-ups and don’t feel my back at all when doing them. And lat pulldown machine on the other hand is where I could finally feel the muscle.

I never feel it either with a hard bar. either
    > use better padding like wrist straps or just a padded bar
    or
    > swap the bar for d handles (i prefer this more)

    Two things:
    1) Proper form. Pull with elbows and back, chest out. Your arms are just a hook
    2) Too much weight causing your other muscles to get involved

It took me two years to start feeling pulling excercises in lats. It takes time to build mind/muscle connection.

Even Mr.Olympia-tier bodybuilders need someone poking their lats to feel them. It's never over.

The first time I ever felt my lats whas when I first used one of these. Since then I have found some lat pulldown machines that also allow me to feel my lats.

First year I did this i did like a weird pushing down movement instead of proper pulling and it seemed like my shoulders were always the first to give out.
