I don't care about gains, I just want to stay mobile and healthy and age without body pain despite sitting in front of a computer all the time.
What should I do?
Just calisthenics and yoga or something?

STAY FLEXY
Terrible. While it works for him, you can see he has very minimal strength and mobility gains. Outside of doing a split (which is low intermediate mobility) he has nothing to show for all that garbage he spews
Do Calisthenics 4 to 5 times a week. Do yoga on your rest days. Focus on high rep bodyweight movements. Weighted stuff can come later with experience
You’re on the right track with calisthenics and yoga. Get involved in some form of cardio (for me it’s biking) for the health benefits
I've never done cardio.
My big concern is that I read it's bad for your joints long term (unless you have access to a pool).
This is largely exaggerated. Big cushy shoes with a steep heel drop, heel striking, obesity, increasing volume too quickly, and weak glutes are some of the major contributors to joint issues. Of done correctly, running can strengthen your joints.
Be active.
Bones/muscles/joints get stronger if they can outheal the damage you cause to them(adaptation and hypertrophy).
bait thread
just walk 2 miles every day
Callisthenics, yoga, as much walking as possible.
is walking really that beneficial?
it's miserably cold winter here 5 months out of the year, starting any day now
shut the fuck up you stupid homosexual do something
yes do calisthenics, get a pair of rings and start with rows if you can't do pullups
Hello there kind xir. Perhaps, would you be interested in mobility training?
Bike 7+ hours a week - this is a commute and a pleasant weekend ride - or swim 3+. Keep your BMI under 25. You don't have to go out of your way to eat great food but you should reject candy, soda and booze. Grill or bake instead of frying. Hit your ten thousand steps per day. Yoga is cool but it seems to be harder for people to stay regular with it.
walk a lot, do longer hikes for fun
do calisthenics or light lifting with machines, nothing too difficult and not too often
JUST FUCKING MOOOOOOOOOOOVE RETARD
FIND A SPORT AND PRACTIIIIIIIICEEEEEEEEEE
Walk a lot. Get a tracker and try to work up to 10k steps a day. Even going from 3k sedentary to 5k will improve your health. It doesn't even need to be done all at once, just try to get your daily total up.
Stretch and do some very light thing that activates your whole body daily, just a small routine in the morning.
Lift infrequently but intensely. Do the big three compound lifts: squat, deadlift, bench press, but only one lift per workout. Lift the heaviest weight you can do with good form. Focus on good form, good range of motion, and intensity. Do it until failure (make sure you have a safe setup and can be spotted or drop weights if needed). Keep a log of your weight and reps. Try to always increase either weight or reps, even if just by one pound or one rep. Take rest very seriously and give yourself even a week or two between workouts if that's what your body needs to recover (when you get to higher weights, you will need this recovery time, less so when you're starting).
This will give you the best results for your effort.
>without body pain
I never had this much pain in my body before I started getting fit.
LOL
it is all the 300kg squat and dl shit that destroy your bones.
So many people recommend yoga here. Where to start? Any video series worth following?
If you have Netflix, Nike has a series on there that does some low impact yoga sessions. I've been doing them to relieve my back pain
Calisthenics and some cardio is the healthmaxx routine
