just do some PPL accessory variation
the most important program is to go to the gym and have fun
you could just go and use machines all day to start out just have fun
I agree with this. I started out jumping around to various machines, attempting pull-ups, and experimenting with free weights. I didn't pick up a program until I actually started enjoying going to the gym and not being self-conscious about my body. Just go and get comfortable with lifting and figuring out your strengths and weaknesses.
Also there is always going to be a guy who is more DYEL than you are. You should commit to mogging that dude every chance you get. figure out his gym schedule and do every lift he does but with more weight. Once I started doing this, I knew that lifting was for me.
Start with PPL. Simple enough to grasp without any experience at it works well enough. After a while, you should change your routine to something that focuses on individual muscle groups and body parts. Do this once you have a solid muscle base and are at the point where lagging body parts are noticeable (Ex. nobody will notice if your rear delts are "lagging" when you can't bench your bodyweight)
just lift, programs make close to zero difference. people can do basically the complete opposite yet they end up in the same result within a 3-5 year span. what matters is staying consistent and actually training for those 3-5 years.
Greyskull 3 months, then nippards foundations hypertrophy with lat raises and deadhangs, finishing with westside conjugate. Then lose weight.
If fat, lose weight after greyskull step
If female, swap greyskull for starting strength, swap lat raises for good girl bad girl machines

it doesn't matter, you will more or less look the same regardless of what you do within a few years, some might get you there faster though.
Just do PPL and start. Fuck start with body weight. Just start, and do something active every day.
