After two years of "barefoot" rooning in with picrel, I've given up, because I was starting to feel the exact same pain that preceded an injury which left me limping for 10 weeks. I bought a pair of conventional running shoes, and after the very run my feet feel like shit and my toes are already forming a fucking equilateral triangle.
I'm pretty sure I can tell the difference between injury pain, and training pain. Is there any way to run without injuring myself, ever? Was running patched recently, or am I simply retarded and should kill myself?
I only just started running and bought good quality max cushion shoes and have been getting on great, I think the problem is you have been wearing those retard shoes for so long. We live in a maximalist world with maximalist features, it only makes sense to wear a maximalist shoe to meet the world we have built half way. You were wearing minimalist shoes and traversing a maximalist world, what did you think would happen ??? I mean if you lived in the woods 24/7 365 those minimalist shoes could work, but your house, driveway, roads, stores, workplace are all maximalist and have been your whole life. You need to accept your reality, it’s maximalist.
It's just so hard to accept that modern concrete infrastructure has defeated me.

This.
Minimalist shoes are a stupid meme for hipsters. Natural man didn't trot around concrete all his life. Neither did he spend hours each day sitting on his ass only to suddenly try and rebuild his conditioning as an adult.
It also sounds like your regular running shoes are a bad fit.
When getting past running injuries you need to be annoyingly careful and patient. Start with short distances, up to 2km. Intervals of two minutes easy jog and 30 seconds walking. If you get skeletal pain, stop the session.
And never start a new workout if you have any inkling of non-muscular pain. Shit sucks but strengthening ligaments takes time and that is what needs to happen.

anybody who falls for your trolling deserves it.
How long was it after you stopped wearing those minimalist shoes that you experienced pain in the normal running shoes? You probably fucked your feet and running form up in a way that isn't going to fix itself up over night.
If you're actually serious about trying to unfuck yourself, go to a running store that will analyze your gait and fit you with a proper pair of shoes. Either that or just go jump on an elliptica machinel. Hard to hurt yourself on an elliptical.
Immediately afterward. It went away instantly after taking them off though.
go to a running shop and get some assistance. don't be afraid to try on a dozen different pairs and jog around the store like an asshole. if you go to a shop that isn't helpful, find a different shop.
Get wide shoes you mongoloid
Were you heel striking in the barefoot shoes?
Kek this. Also, do you sprint or jog? Switch your training to short sprints and see how it goes. Jogging is a knee killer
You don't run. You're not supposed to fucking run. Why would you run? It's more stressful than lifting. In nature, if you're running that means you fucked up and are about to die. Where are you going anyway? You'd get there faster with a car.
What is this retarded argument, did you ever think maybe I am running after something to kill it? That animal is the one who fucked up by getting too close
I run because i can't fucking walk for 5 hours a day you giga nagger.
You might consider "Zone 2 Training" where you run only fast enough to stay in heart rate zone 2. You will probably end up walking if your route has any hills. You'll get a lot of the health benefits of running while your injury risk is minimal. You might not improve your 5k time very quickly, but if that's not your goal anyway, then it will be a good fit.
Time to start bicycling.
Hindu squats with proper form to failure to fix your legs. Otherwise just walk. Once you feet and knees stop hurting, learn to use your toes when running. For example, there is no heelstrike in a proper sprint.
I love these cheap ass amazon shoes, flat but not too wide so you dont look like a fucking clown
Just get Altras or something that’s wide toebox and zero drop but also cushioned
Running is high impact. It's not for everyone. It's top tier cardio, but it's fine to try others. Stairs, jumping rope, biking, swimming, skating, rowing.
