Yeah I increased the weight on my big lifts.
Also I injured myself the same way had to take months off. Make sure you get that shit looked at if you really have to I still get problems in my shoulder nearly 2 years later after working on fixing it myself lol
i've just come back from a month out and strength has not changed, cardio is a little diminished but that's it
people don't realise the body doesn't work on these arbitrary timescales, it could use some time to heal, unless you're training for competition what are you even doing going full tilt the whole year.
i didn't train for 5 weeks during my summer vacation and apart from the first week back in the gym and first 3 exercises, i picked up where i left and even gained strength on some exercises. this was most likely due to calorie surplus during those 5 weeks.
you will lose a grand total of 0 gains in 1 week, and basically 0 even in 1 month.
There's research on NCBI that shows that going off for three weeks had zero impact on lean muscle mass as long as you're not starving
I'm currently sick, can barely stay at the computer and lifting is impossible, also I have zero appetite right now and am force feeding myself with milk and whey basically. Cant eat anything solid, simply wont go down. Been like this since monday, probably dropped weight and my waist has lost some ~3cm, my arm however remains at the same size. Your body actively tries to not lose lean mass if possible, burning through fat and water and only burning through lean mass if absolutely necessary. You won't lose shit in one week, two or three. Look the ncbi shit up
This goes against what everyone else is is saying but I've done a deload like 8 weeks ago, Lost a few kgs on my bench and still havent gotten back to where I was
This is possible if your CNS is fried. Happens if you go every set to failure, always heavy. It's what I do. What will help you if this is the case is taking a one week or so break from the gym completely. Just relax.
Now that I'm older -- 35 -- I notice a week off does result in some strength loss. Not major, but noticeable. You young bucks can get away with it no problem tho.

It happened Sunday. The pain is barely noticeable already so i think i will be fine waiting until Monday....hopefully.
I take a week off every month or so and always come back stronger. It really allows you to recover, especially if you hit the gym hard nearly every day
Don't listen to trolls, not exercising for a whole week typically leads to at least 50% strength drop that is then recoverable slightly faster than it was first gotten and around 30-40% muscle mass loss which doesn't recover.
Any future muscle gains you'll get will be from enlarging different muscle cells, of which you have a limited supply.
1 week deload is an advanced tactic and should only be used very fucking cautiously and honestly probably never natty.
Depends. I've taken a week off before and came back stronger
Stronger with same sets and weights? Or did you increase weights after the break?
I cannot train due to an injury (fuck OHPs lol) so the break is forced. I am really worried losing progress.

None you dyel, You should be taking off/deload weeks every once in a while even if you can train.
fuck all

You might shrink a little but you'll gain it back instantly
I don't wanna shrink.
It's just a visual thing. You won't actually lose muscle

That's funny because that's exactly what I do, Bulgarian light.
I usually come back from deloads stronger
Absolutely nothing, even in a month you would barely lose anything and you'll get it back very quickly.
Nothing, retard
barely anything unless you're out starving somewhere or inadvertently doing cardio.
you atrophy after like 4 weeks if that's what you care about

Young? I am one year older than you, zoomer.

Someone please drop a picture of Mike mentzer in the chat, thank you sirs

ALL
