How important is it to get a yearly physical

I'm a 23 y.o. man and I havent gotten a checkup from a doctor since age 10. Someone told me that it's important to go in case i have some kind of illness that I don't know about. Over the years, I've had bouts of nerve pain, abdominal pain, lower back pain, a hernia, broken finger, broken wrist, and some nasty infections. None of the times have I been to the hospital. my body just healed on it's own. So I feel like I should be fine in case there's something wrong with my bloodwork. But is there any specific reason why I should get a checkup that would cause permanent damage if I dont catch it early enough?

Always good to know if you’re deficient in something.

The blood test is probably the most important thing. You should also screen yourself for a few cancers.
You get more out of medical practitioners by asking directed, informed questions. If you go to a doctor clueless with no specific concerns, you’ll get shit, lowest common denominator care.

So what exactly does the blood test look for? like can it show if you have some hidden disease? or is it just hormone levels and vitamin stuff?

        >So what exactly does the blood test look for?
Depends on how much you're willing to spend/how much your insurance is willing to cover. The Marek Health blood panel is pretty extensive. Some blood panels just look for basic hormone and triglyceride levels

Got told I had scoliosis at 12. 30 soon, haven't had a check up since, gradually becoming more decrepit and twisted. Feels great.

dang, sorry to hear that, anon. do you have any plans for getting checked out by a doctor? I heard the surgery is rough but can help prevent organ damage if the curvature is rlly bad

According to life expectancy, this usa only thing is completely useless. Europe don't do physicals at all.

I felt like death for years, got a blood test. The stupid video telephone doctor tells me my cholesterol is a tiny bit high (not enough for pills) and then proceeds to tell me I should eat more vegetable oils. Not shitting you. She completely ignored why I got the blood work in the first place. Useless fucking system. Doctors are all scammers. Nothing has been fixed. Had a sleep clinic done. Doc says, "Oh, looks like you sleep like shit." Thanks doc. Anything that can help with that? Not really. Wow. Great healthcare.

I went into the doctor yesterday to get my autism meds. I should just be able to get them without having to renew every 6 months, but you know, the world is a fucking scam-filled corrupt shithole. So I go in, and ask the doctor for my meds. He then starts saying "do you have a family history of prostate cancer" etc. I think he was trying to finger by butt. These people are sick fucks. Anyway, then he says "can I take your blood pressure". I just say "yeah sure" just to go along with this whole facade just to get my fucking autism meds. Anyway, the thing is strapped around my massive arms and starts tightening. It got so fucking tight I thought "this isn't right". Anyway, now I have tendonitis in my fucking arm because these stupid fucking blood pressure cuffs are obviously designed for non-muscluar people. Anyway, yeah of course my blood pressure was fine. I eat nothing but whole foods, work out all the time and have a healthy body fat percentage.

Anyway, fuck this gay world, fuck doctors, fuck everything.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that I had to wear a mask. The only place left where you have to wear a mask. The doctor's mask wasn't even covering his nose. This whole world is a joke.

must be really fucking severe. So severe you can't even tell you have it. It is a scam. That is the scam. "You can't tell you have it, you need us to check for you! One day you will just suddenly drop dead because of it despite having no symptoms of anything! Trust us, it happens all the time. Google it!!!"

woah woah hold up. We've got drugs for all of these things! The infection drug, the back pain drug, the specialist appointments. All the missed opportunities to make money 🙁
