I used to run 4 miles a day from school to home. Now I skip rope 3 times a week at muay thai, 2 or 3 rounds of 3 minutes of skipping, making sure to keep constant tension in the calves. I also work in an amazon warehouse 4 days a week, where I am essentially standing and walking for 10 hours a day. I probably walk between roughly 5-10 miles on days that I work.
tldr, running, skipping rope, lots of walking. I dont do any sort of weighted calf work regularly

Jumprope. Do it for an hour a day for a few months and you'll keep the results for years
