The fat Mexican construction workers manage why can't you?
Literally a fat Mexican electrician. Working with a Mexican sub too so no lazy walking around all day shit. On a pretty big deficit, I don’t count but I’ve gone from 235 to 198 in 2 months. I still have enough energy to go to the gym 4 times a week + 1 hour long running session. OP is literally just a bitch. I did actual sports in high school, weightlifting is a joke when you compare the mental effort required. Working construction is a shitty excuse, specially if you’re white.
recs on pre's? I eat a banana with 2 caffeine pills and a quad espresso (software engineer so caffeine doesnt do shit to me). thinking of adding creatine or something
Nothing apart from upping your intake of caffeine will work if you've already got that much of a ludicrous tolerance. I don't take pre anymore, I just drink coffee or strong coffee if I'm tired.
I was building up a tolerance like yours so I start cutting back my caffeine intake and just managed the tiredness and planned coffee's for certain times of the day instead.
I've cut back a lot tbh. I used to be on 2400mg caffeine a day, in addition to ephedra, taurine, and some other substances. I've been down to around 1800mg a day for the past few months and my body feels so laggy, ALL the time.
oh I also use nicotine (not smoking, pouches). my friends who are also coders use epidural patches but the habit of patches is apparently brutal to kick
you have to increase work capacity. go once or twice a week for a while, then 2 or 3 times a week for a while, etc. you'll have good weeks and bad weeks after overdoing it. it's normal.
More or less this. You can go 2-3 times a week from the get-go if you want, just be prepared for the worst week or two ever. Afterwards, it's really not so bad.
One good thing about lifting is it will teach you how to lift. Groundbreaking, I know, but conciously applying good form to everyday loads will make them much more manageable, meaning learning to lift will reduce how fatigued your work day actually makes you.
Consider a program that has you squatting 3x a week, classic SS/SL stuff. These days a lot of guys think it's too much squatting volume and aesthetically they're right, but for a guy doing a physical job it's an exercise with a lot of carryover to what you're actually doing for a living and will eventually make what you do for a living easier.
Same gut... i found that doing the "bro split" while going more conservative on my lifts has been enough for me to make modest gains while not killing myself.... if i go to hardcore i might end up accidently killing someone while on road
Same boat here bro, seasonal work so off on the winters it’s when I get to go 4-5x a week comfortably. Lasted for two months during on season and burnt our hard going at 3:30am, anyway bro I need to start again. Imma head to bed and set my alarm tomorrow and get up and go with the spirit of you
Become an electrician

literally this, I see hispanics every morning at 5:30am
you don't, except on the weekend.
You DO watch your weight and don't eat away your gains because you are burning so many calories. Be a disciplined eater and get cut
Slow down at work, hot baths, and 8 hours a sleep a night......
Same gut... i found that doing the "bro split" while going more conservative on my lifts has been enough for me to make modest gains while not killing myself.... if i go to hardcore i might end up accidently killing someone while on road
Dedication. I know it's hard I'm in the same boat. I tell myself that not many have the guts to do both. And that helps me cope.
switch to management
