Home workout equipment & routine

What's some decent gear to use for working out from home? I don't want a gym membership (for now), I'm a poorfag and I rent so it can't be big and it can't be wall mounted. At the moment all I have is a pullup bar that I can place on the head of a door (similar to pic). I'm looking to get a pair of dip bars and something for cardio. Not sure what's best for that. Foldable exercise bike? Stair steppers? A treadmill would take too much space. Is it it worth it getting dumbells? I prefer working out out with a barbell but since I don't have the space for that I dunno.

For workouts I plan on doing pullups, hanging leg raises, planking, pushups and cardio. Idk if there's any point in squats without weights but my ass is straight up hank hill tier so I feel I gotta do something there. Any suggestions?

    >Foldable exercise bike? Stair steppers?
    Run outside.

    >Is it it worth it getting dumbells?
Yes, they're versatile. You can usually find second-hand stuff for pretty cheap, people purchase equipment and end up not using them.

I still would recommend getting a gym membership.

Maybe eventually, if I stick with this and want more, and I don't want more monthly expenses to deal with than I already have... I've done gyms before but I just feel like it takes too much time out of my day simply getting there and home again. As for running outside, I COULD, but living in a hilly as fuck place and it being freezing winter now it would be brutal on my out of shape ass.

Kettlebells, I recommend the competition style as they're more comfortable for presses and swings IMO.

Squat rack with pull up bar and weights. You say you’re renting and you decide to get a door frame pull up bar? Weird.

Way too big and expensive. But yeah this place is pretty old and not in great condition so I think I can get away with it.

Then I’d say kettlebells for muscle building and weighted vest walks for cardio.

How do you feel about a trapbar? If you get that and 2-4 45s, 2 25s, and 2-4 10s You'll have a really good setup for leg day that's not nearly as expensive as a quality squat rack

    >What's some decent gear to use for working out from home?
    power rack, barbell, bench
    >waaaah I dont have space
then put your mattress inside the rack and sleep there, some SwoleShackizens in tokyo do it like that

Adjustable dumbbells, adjustable bench, resistance bands, and a doorframe pull up bar is my setup. Having a barbell and squat rack is nice especially if you are lifting very heavy but dumbbells work just fine

    >I'm looking to get a pair of dip bars
    Get gymnastic rings instead.

    >dips
    >rows
    >bicep curls
    >tricep extensions
    >chest flies
    >face pulls
    >leg curls
    >ab rollouts
    >etc.

I just got my olympic rings today and they really are the ultimate solution. I have mine hanging from the rafters in the garage but people hang them from doorframe pull-up bars, too. Even one of the YouTube grifters I watched today had that setup. I plan to keep going to the gym for cardio, but I don't think I'll be doing much weight lifting there any more. Pic related is the aforementioned YouTube grifter. His video really good.

    >cardio
    Kettlebell, pretty much. And running.
Maybe jump rope, if your ceiling is high.

    >Idk if there's any point in squats without weights
Kind of, but you need to do harder exercises - split squats, one legged squats, shrimp squats.

      >building a door frame for your pull-up bar instead of pull-up bar station
Are you going to keep working out on that in the winter too?

I found the pull-up bar in the garbage near my place. I felt inspired. I have a gym membership, this is just something I whipped up in case I wana do a quick upper body sesh in the summer/spring.

Also I don't mind working out in the winter. I'm planning on using it for fun then too tbh.

That was on purpose, so that I could get more height without needing to extend the rack. Reduced the cost and lowered the center of gravity of the structure, easier to reinforce and stabilize.

Fucking Kettlebells and a set of adjustable dumbbells. I bought all of this used, bc shipping kettlebells is a joke.
