Have you ever done a genetic test to see your susceptibility to diseases, traits, how you synthesize and produce certain proteins and compounds, react to particular stimuli? I dont mean for ancestry but it can potentially be a powerful tool for health

    >pay someone to record private information about your genetic profile

You say "pap" and "grandpap," so you are genetic trash anyway.

I did and it's all "you might have this" and it's things that three of my grandparents had. No shit

I got it done but then I autistically poured over the raw data myself. I found that I don't digest b12 properly, I have rheumatoid traits so I adjusted my diet to eliminate it, I have potential heart issues so I fixed that, etc.

Yeah but I used the service years prior to Isreal acquiring it. It's a no-go now

Same. Used it back in 2016, wondering if there's anything more advanced now. I only paid 5 dollars for Promethease I recall

I don't think there is because it's pulling and interpretting huge amounts of data from SNPedia, which they also own, and I don't know any other service that has that much data it can use

most of that shit is highly speculative bullshit - at least the cheap ones.
if you want to do this, you need to get it done by your doctor

a few of those companies got sued because of their false claims. in the future it'll eventually be worthwhile.

Yeah, because having it done by your doctor isn't speculative at all. You stupid monkey.

As noted it's quite speculative, also you mightn't want to know certain things. What if you find out you have Huntington's disease and will die a horrible death in a few years? Do you want to know? Fuck medics spoiling the ending, not like they can do shit about anything 99.999% of the time.

genetics has not progressed to the point where we can understand these things from your DNA. Don't forgot phenotype is both genetics and environment bro. Best indicator of ANYTHING, is family history.

No but a mate of mine, in the days before dna testing, paid for a paternity test that conclusively proved that the baby his big fat nagger ex girlfriend turned up at his door with, and demanding alimony payments for, was not his.
So you could say it proved to be a powerful tool for his financial health.
Oh, and it also turned out that she'd been trying the same thing with every guy she'd ever fucked.

no, there has been no need for testing
ive caught literally every single disease that runs in my family and just general things as well like poor eyesight etc.
but yeah i have t1 diabetes, high blood pressure, hypothyroidism and bunch of small health issues. some diagnosed in my teens, some late teens, some started becoming more of problem in my mid 20's and so on.

i always lived SUPER healthy lifestyle since a kid, i was amateur pro in several sports, and started lifting when i was 15. never smoked a cig not even my lips have touched any cigarette, i drink alcohol maybe once a year just 1 serving and so forth. it is what it is sometimes you just get dealt the fucking worst hand imaginable and your life choices make zero difference.
