>at gym doing hip thrusts >girl sets up to do hip thrusts at the next bench over >loads twice the weight I'm currently lifting >does 4 sets of 20 thrusts like it's nothing
fuck this lift
they cheat
full lockout is the hardest part of the lift
if they dont lock out hard they aint lifting
thats like doing quarter squats against full atg highbar
What weight though, is it even impressive? >never do hip thrusts ever >bunch of us workout with a PT buddy between his sessions >load up 3 plates anyway >only him and I bother to do a few sets
>at gym doing hip thrusts >girl sets up to do hip thrusts at the next bench over >loads twice the weight I'm currently lifting >does 4 sets of 20 thrusts like it's nothing
fuck this lift
Hip thrusts are a woman's exercise, they literally look like a bitch sliding off her panties to take a dick tbh
It's probably too high for 2 months. You may just be throwing weights around and using your back instead of isolating your biceps.
Can you do 10 chinups?
THERE IS NO FUCKING POINT TO DOING A SET NUMBER OF REPS FOR 3 SETS ON AN EXERCISE WHERE THE GOAL IS STIMULATING THE TARGET MUSCULATURE IN ORDER TO GROW YOU FUCKING RETARD
>do curls as the very last thing on pull day >already used biceps in every single exercise >curls never progress but biceps somehow grow anyway
I have a similar thing going on with a lot of my accessory exercises. How do you know when it's time to progress your accessories?
Not much I fucked my bicep tendon a few years ago. I think it's a partial tear or rupture because it kinda sticks out a bit. I did 10lbs incline curls the other day and the past couple days it's been bothering me, idk if i should stop completely or if I stick to low weights it'll get better. I used to not even be able to do rows or chins
Hammer and dumbell curl 15kg. Ez bar curl 40kg.
Curls are really odd honestly, sometimes I can pump out 4 perfect sets of 10-12 and sometimes I feel weak as shit on them. None of my other lifts do this and its pissing me off.
>Fuck plates, how much can you curl?
Who cares.
Most people just cheat curl lol, I see so many stick arms "curling" big weights, and by curling I mean they're doing some retarded standing hipthrust/front raise movement.
>Thinks bicep curls are a compound lift
The absolute state of /fit
Those are perfectly fine curls in that video though?
No, they're not "perfectly fine".
Biceps curl is an isolation movement. The kid is literally twisting and rotating his entire body in order to "get the weight up".
>not perfectly fine
Now years later he’s curling 200lb on a barbell against the wall and 85s dbs in each hand.
Remember this when these nerds critique your form.
Just moved up in hammer curls to 4×10 @45lbs. I also EZ bar curl 50lbs for 4×12 and reverse curl the same weight for 4×15. I also do standing straight bar cable curls for 4×10 @100lbs. I'm thinking of moving up in weight and/or more reps as I feel like my arms are still too tiny and flabby
I’m going to start doing curls every single day. 3x10, different variation each day. My biceps seem to recover within 24 hours and they’re lacking anyways. Anyone do this?
>hurr durr if you move your body you are doing it wrong
As long as you’re doing them as a controlled movement a little body english will not hurt your long term progress. What will is doing stupid shit like >curling everyday, seriously nagger? How are you supposed to progress to greater weight? >not having progressive overload built into your program >not controlling the eccentric, this is more important for the biceps than the concentric movement
I can curl the 40s strict for like 13 10 9 9, or the 90lb bb for 12 or 13.
I can curl the 65s for 1 in my left and 2 in my right.
I always had skeleton arms growing up and through hs, so I luv me curls.
Both of my 50 pounders when I raise them fully strict to my shoulders for equally strict standing DB press
And when I'm done with the OHP, I do 2-3 reps of each arms for good measure before putting them down.
my heaviest hammer curl was with a 90lbs dumbell, my heaviest normal curl was a 80lbs dumbell, dont really do all that much curling, but I do chinups with +35lbs at 260lbs body weight
Maxed at 55lbs dbs and 110 on a bb when I was trying to get to 1pl8 curl but there wasn't really any benefit to going that "heavy" and it often gave me a bit of tendonitis. I can easily train biceps with anywhere between 35 and 45lbs dbs, still grow and not have to worry about pain or worse.
ez bar 48 kg at least, at least 7 reps, but I barely do that lift anymore, im trying to get stronger on the machine. 77 kg 6 reps currently, aiming for reps.
Fuck curls, how much do you THRVST?
>at gym doing hip thrusts

whenever i see girls do heavy hip thrusts, they are always doing half reps, which is pretty sad as the regular lift has 4 in ROM.
435 lbs 3x12, people are always suprised when they see me do it, they dont realize you can really crank up the weight on this, I DL 460x3 conventional
Hip thrusts are a woman's exercise, they literally look like a bitch sliding off her panties to take a dick tbh
They look like a man thrusting upwards into a vagina (ur mom)
No set weight. Each time, I ask the nearest girl how much she weighs and go ahead and put that on the bar.
Too many whales at my gym and I ain't deadlifting lmao
Nigga please! I hang that much from my cock and balls.
There are literally women in my gym who use the prone leg curl machine to do hip thrusts.
Only 80lbs but I started about 4 months ago at skelly mode and could only do 20lbs then.
>80lbs curl
Post biceps
I meant 80 overall, the dumbbells are 40lbs each.
I do DB hammer curls with 18kg for 3 X 10
I just got to 40s after 2 months and feel less pathetic now
>40s after 2 months
lol this nagger curling with his back
I can’t tell if you’re saying that’s too high or too low.
It's probably too high for 2 months. You may just be throwing weights around and using your back instead of isolating your biceps.
Can you do 10 chinups?
I was db curling 30lbs for 3x12. Currently doing ez bar curls.
30s db curls for 3x10. Perfect reps, slow and controlled

I have a similar thing going on with a lot of my accessory exercises. How do you know when it's time to progress your accessories?
I was doing exercises with 20lbs dumbbells and never felt like I was making progress
one day I picked up the 30lbs dumbbells and
Is he ok?
Unfortunately no
RIP this poster. He got candleja
*chef's kiss*
vintage meme
I have information that will lead to the arrest of Hillary Cl
ke
This is why I only do eight lifts in total, four on alternating days. Two exercises for the same muscle is a waste of time.
You can literally FEEL when it’s time. Nothing should be easy when lifting outside of warm ups
Picrel
>curls never progress but biceps somehow grow anyway
because
>already used biceps in every single exercise

The metric system has no place on SwoleShack
I do them with the 30lbs, you don't need to apply too much weight for bis and tris, anywhere between 20-60lbs is good
I've done like 130# strict.
>Fuck plates, how much can you curl?
Who cares.
Most people just cheat curl lol, I see so many stick arms "curling" big weights, and by curling I mean they're doing some retarded standing hipthrust/front raise movement.
Those are perfectly fine curls in that video though?

>nooooo not like that!
Hater
>Thinks bicep curls are a compound lift
The absolute state of /fit
No, they're not "perfectly fine".
Biceps curl is an isolation movement. The kid is literally twisting and rotating his entire body in order to "get the weight up".
Look at the same guy now lol, he looks like he barely started puberty in the video you posted
>not perfectly fine
Now years later he’s curling 200lb on a barbell against the wall and 85s dbs in each hand.

Compound lifts was a joke about how people cheat them so much that it counts as one.
Just moved up in hammer curls to 4×10 @45lbs. I also EZ bar curl 50lbs for 4×12 and reverse curl the same weight for 4×15. I also do standing straight bar cable curls for 4×10 @100lbs. I'm thinking of moving up in weight and/or more reps as I feel like my arms are still too tiny and flabby
post arms
I've posted a couple times in bicep threads with this older photo.
Here's another one that's not too great of an angle but a little more recent. I really need to start taking more pictures
looking good brah
Thanks anon

There's no point in asking this because the only people who brag about how much they curl just swing that shit like the monkey they are.
Seated db hammer curl, 3x12 @ 30lbs. Working my way up to 3x15 before I go up to 35s.
I can do 24kg/52lb dumbbells for 8 reps with minimal swinging.
Just did 10 reps with 50s which is a new high score.
currently, a 25lb dumbbell per arm 3x8
why yes my arms are pathetic how did you know
>hurr durr if you move your body you are doing it wrong
As long as you’re doing them as a controlled movement a little body english will not hurt your long term progress. What will is doing stupid shit like
>curling everyday, seriously nagger? How are you supposed to progress to greater weight?

40lbs each 4x25, yeah that's all the weight I can curl at home so
That’s a lot of reps
How much can you coom?
some chugger i know did 11 pumps in one day
>Fuck plates
The hole isn't big enough
>The wannabe wiseass
6kg x 45
idk like 50 kilos pretty strict
probably 1pl8 for reps
I can curl the 40s strict for like 13 10 9 9, or the 90lb bb for 12 or 13.
I can curl the 65s for 1 in my left and 2 in my right.
I always had skeleton arms growing up and through hs, so I luv me curls.
Both of my 50 pounders when I raise them fully strict to my shoulders for equally strict standing DB press
And when I'm done with the OHP, I do 2-3 reps of each arms for good measure before putting them down.
Also, doing sum sets of 8-9 sometimes at the end of my workout at the gym with the 40kg fixed bar (not cheating OP; no plates).
35s for 12-15 strict reps
40s for 10ish good reps
45s for 8-10 twister reps
Idk take your pick
my heaviest hammer curl was with a 90lbs dumbell, my heaviest normal curl was a 80lbs dumbell, dont really do all that much curling, but I do chinups with +35lbs at 260lbs body weight
personal best with that is 6 chinups.

2pl8
I can reverse curl 120 lb for 20 but I regular curl only 80 lbs for 10.
Yes, I have flat biceps and round forearms.
Yes, I've done this intentionally.
ez bar 48 kg at least, at least 7 reps, but I barely do that lift anymore, im trying to get stronger on the machine. 77 kg 6 reps currently, aiming for reps.
