I've corrected it before, but always end up falling back into it once things get heavy. I used to have terrible knee tendonitis, but I've modified my form appropriately and now it really doesn't hurt at all.
Don't forget that almost all high bar squatters have knee slide. If it starts to hurt I'll modify appropriately.

A lot of these mostly rotator cuff issues don't affect the press and often the press makes them better. The press doesn't have the impingement issue that the bench does. I frequently have shoulder issues and they only manifest on the bench, never the press.

the press is recommended as a way to maintain shoulder health and train your body to apply the upper body strength in more functional ways
