If you're curious about the actual reason, its because the market for barefoot shoes is smaller, which makes it less competitive and have fewer economies of scale. Organic food is the same way, plus its usually slightly more expensive to produce.

I dunno bro, I'm DYEL. Generally with shoes you want as much horizontal toe space as possible so you can splay your toes a lot. Not for walking but for doing squats or something I would guess literally barefoot is best.

This is the foot of a subhuman who had absent/uncaring parent(s). See how mangled the toes are, it means his feet were crammed into far too small shoes for most of his developmental years, so his parent(s) can't even use the excuse of "we couldn't find shoes in his size" because they never even cared to try when they could find shoes in his size.

it's just a pair of boots hand made by Enzo Bonafe in Bologna, Italy
the reason they're more expensive than normal is because the 'leather' is shell cordovan which is a membrane horses have on their butt. Only a single tannery in Chicago can make proper leather out of it and every horse only has enough for like 2 pairs of shoes.
Enzo was a master at making shoes from this material.
He made my boots last year but sadly he passed away earlier this year.
